I used to like Good Charlotte... then I realized i don't.
They're really... cheesy.
Same with Linkin Park.
Nickelback is... meh. Always sounds like I just heard that song... and I'm listening to it twice in a row. Makes me want to attack the speakers.

So, what's wrong with being easy? Many people have played easy songs.

For example, Bob Dylan almost exclusively wrote songs with just three chords. That's all. Three chords on a guitar, and then possibly some harmonica. (Until the 80's when he learned what I minor chord was )
And he's considered to be one of the most genius musicians of the past 50+ years and....ever.
Now, he's considered to be a genius not for his music, but his lyrics, but you never mentioned the lyrics of Blink 182, you just mentioned that their songs were easy.

Maybe you've fallen into the Dream Theater complex

My problem with Blink 182 is the singing, mostly. Along with other stuff, too. But still.

And, no, I don't like Bob Dylan, really, but I just as easily could.
