Query: do you type correctly?

I for one, am a horrible, horrible typist. While I can recall keys with ease, I tend to only use my index fingers and thumbs while typing. Occassionally another finger will come into play, usually my right ring finger. While I'm not terribly slow, I'm slower than I could be.

my ring fingers take the edge my middles take the outer middle and indexes takes middle. though sometimes i only use 4.

I use the two most dominant fingers on each hand (index and middle) -- what I play FFR with.

Then, depending on the location of my other fingers, I will occasionally use my left ring finger. So, five fingers in total. Three from the left, and two from the right. Yes, I'm left handed.

EDIT: Oh, and my thumbs to hammer the space bar.

I press the side buttons with my pinky, like enter, tab, etc...
Everytime I press S, I use my ring finger.... Weird
But I only type with my two middle fingers, which is also the way I played Index, with my middle fingers.

I also press A with my ring finger.

The only significant difference between my typing style and the "correct" QWERTY style is that I use my right middle finger for M, as opposed to my index finger like I was "supposed" to. Beyond that, I touch-type completely, using all the normal fingers for all the normal keys.

I use all my fingers, just not always correctly. I have one of those keyboards that's split in the middle with both halves tilted out a little. For some reason, I always reach over the split with my left index to hit the Y key. I can't type well on "normal' keyboards. Make a lot typos on those black Dell keyboards at the school. And I always hit the C with my left index unless I'm thinking about it. And, like, in typing things, I will hit H and N with separate fingers and leave I to my ring finger (instead of index, middle, index for HIN). So, yeah, guess that's an instance of finger placement effecting which finger you use.
Well at least I'm glad I learned to stop looking at the keyboard while I'm typing. Maybe having the keyboard on a rolly thing under the desk helped with that.

I remember using that Mavis Beacon program... a while back. And whatever those programs were at elementary school... Remember the first exercise. fjfjfjfjfjfj. Great stuff.

I use all of my fingers except for my pinkies, only I don't use my ring fingers very often. I mainly use my right-middle and index, and my left index. I alternate between spacing with my index finger and a thumb. I usually use my right index finger. Almost always, actually. My typing style isn't very conventional and I can be kind of slow. The speed is good for normal people but not so high for gamers.

Also I dominate both sides of the keyboard with my right hand. Well, I dominate the keyboard I guess. I use a little more than half with my right hand. I move all of my forearms ever so slightly and my hand position when the words start shifting to one particular side. I use my right hand until along the yhn line but switch over if most of the word is on the left side.. Like the word word. Kind of complicated, rofl
