Re: So it turns out...
As long as the thread's been bumped, I'd love to know if the option to operate as a non-profit corporation was ever considered. The IRS tax code provides tax breaks to companies that operate as a non-profit, meaning that after paying what would be considered a fair wage to all paid employees, if there are any (just about all non-profits rely heavily on volunteer labor *waves*) and covering all operating costs, the rest of the money which would be considered profit would instead be funneled back into the company. I'm not implying that you don't know all this but rather trying to get the other readers in the thread up to speed.
I've never confronted an internet non-profit before so I don't know all the rules that would apply. I'm guessing there could be issues with the types of ads that appear on the website, if ads would even be allowed. But the way I see it, I consider the ads on the website to be similar to the ad-space sold in programs at theater companies. To me it really seems like a good fit for FFR. It's not publicly traded; it really seems like Synth enjoys owning this site. They seem dedicated to providing the best possible service instead of lining their pockets, which in essence is all a non-profit is. You don't have to be in performing arts to run a non-profit. And I don't know what FFR's balance sheet looks like but I'm betting the money saved from taxes would be great if FFR is in need of more funds.
I know I've bothered y'all about this a couple times before and I think Tass may have answered this before but I can't find it anywhere.Back to "Back to Earth"

Re: So it turns out...
All he said was that the company is already incorporated, and then you suggested he look into what could be involved in reorganizing, and he never responded to you, due to the thread becoming derailed by chicken wings and cocaine.
As for the actual income or worth of the company, that is 100% entirely none of our fracking business. Stop asking for information regarding the exact state of the company's finances. Become a shareholder (which you can't do, since the company isn't being publically traded) and you can demand that kind of information, us free users here? None of our business.Comment

More questions...
That's not a bad idea Chaz. I wonder how they could do that...
Hey Synthlight,
On the topic of the spambots, what ideas are you testing if any, or is it a lost cause? And do you have any sites you hold as a standard for FFR to surpass quality wise?Comment
