Re: So it turns out...
The daily ad revenue estimation is way off, it is much lower than it is shown. On the flip side, the actual worth is more than it is showing. I can base this on 5 years of business dealings and history on FFR. I have had a few opportunities to cash out and have declined them all. FFR is my baby.

And if it's way off, where is it getting this info from? O.o

I highly doubt that.
He'll probably keep declining the opportunities.
Just put yourself in his shoes.

Re: So it turns out...
And while that report was not accurate to begin with, it also fails because it has no idea what the cost of doing business is for any particular company. Go look up renting or building 1U and 2U server grade cases with SuperMicro motherboards, 16GB of ram and the latest dual Quad Xeon processors with 10k rpm raid arrays. Then multiply that by 4 and throw in 2 unmetered 1 gigabit up/down connections to the net.
Another thing we are trying to contend with is the current state of the economy. Advertising budgets are starting to vaporize.
It's all very interesting and I am willing to be as open about it as possible if anyone has questions.

Re: So it turns out...
So then synthlight, would you be willing to give exact numbers? I don't blame you if you don't want to as that's your business (this is your baby we're talking about here), but I'm curious nonetheless.
Edit: One more question, how exactly did the idea for FFR come about? Were you just really enjoying some DDR and suddenly the thought arose, "I could make something better than this in flash..."?Comment

Re: So it turns out...
I've actually been wondering that for the longest time.
Might as well let us all know about it.

Buy a domain of .ca for FFR and use some Canadian advertisers. :PAnd while that report was not accurate to begin with, it also fails because it has no idea what the cost of doing business is for any particular company. Re: So it turns out...
I actually am interested in how a website works.
How money is earned, how servers are run and all that jazz.
Really, if you are willing to share anything about how FFR is run/maintained, I'd love to hear it.
