Alright, so I might have misworded my post (I did just wake up you know, I tend to be slow in the morning), but it doesn't change the reality of the extremely large bailouts that they have given to the banks and who will have to assume the debt, regardless of who influences them. As the well known saying goes, money doesn't grow on trees.

P.S Your usage of words doesn't cover up your blatant arrogance - just because you think those around you might be inferior to your supposed intelligence doesn't actually mean it's true.

This is one of the few threads footbull made that was good. It would be better if he added more content but gratz footbull.

Also the depression is probably going to leak into Canada quite a bit considering a lot of branch companies are here. It's not like people couldn't see this coming from a mile away or anything though.

And you're going on ridiculous enraged partisan diatribes. You say "during the Bush administration" as if the Bush administration has anything to do with the Federal Reserve. The whole purpose of the Federal Reserve is to stimulate the economy when it's down and control spending when it's up. And Bush has almost nothing to do with it.

Secondly I'm not sure what you actually mean when you say the Fed hasn't controlled its spending during the administration. They don't pay for medicare, medicaid, social security, or national security. Perhaps during the last few months-- that's arguable-- but not sure about throughout the administration. Even so I'd trust the Fed. They know what they're doing, and the Fed is politically unmoved.
