Yeah, so I'm going to start a website. I have a problem though.. how should I make it? What hosting services do you guys recommend? Also, should I entirely code the page in HTML?

Try to code it in .php
It makes it more cusomisable, and you include xhtml in it.

And do it via CSS. xD

As for a hosting site.

I use Geocities.
It doesn't support PHP.

It will support HTML/CSS though.


Think of what you want your website to be about.
Make a layout, code it.

I recommend a free host first; once you're satisfied with your site, you can think about transitioning to paid hosting.

HTML/CSS is probably fine unless you want to do UBERmegaCRAZYSDFjesus sites.

I think learning PHP and CSS will help, but it really is preference. Personally, I like PHP for it's ease in working with MySQL.

EDIT: Your HTML knowledge won't go to waste.
