Really? Because ignorant statements like this doesn't make you any better than people that have bad grammar. In fact, this statement is kind of prejiduce on certain levels. Just because you have bad grammar doesn't mean you're not intelligent. So are you saying people that have bad grammar are stupid? Plz think before you start writing this kind of BS because crap like this doesn't make you look intelligent either.

Here's my 2cent, because I'm sick and tired of grammar whores and these gayass threads about grammar as well as people like, foilman who should think, before making statements like above.

operationstrawberry, there is a huge difference between not looking intelligent and not being intelligent. Clearly this flew right over your head. I don't know how you could argue you the point that someone looks intelligent when they type like they don't give a ****. Are you serious?

I'm not a grammar whore by any stretch of the imagination - I don't go around correcting people's grammar in all of their posts or anything, but I remain steadfast in my convictions about good grammar.

Correct grammar and typing creates the illusion of intelligence on the Internet. There is no way around it because all we have to judge you by are the words you put down in the forums, and the way that you put them down. If you place your words with care, and take the time to use proper grammar and spelling, you will, at least on the first impression, seem more intelligent. Obviously, this could be false, and you're a complete moron with nothing to say, but you still used proper grammar, and you fooled me the first time.

With that being said, I hope you realize you misunderstood what I said. I am in no way implying that because of the way you type you are of a certain level of intelligence. That's just asinine and ignorant.

Also, just for your own benefit, you may want to brush up on your reading comprehension before you jump the gun and rant at me again like that.

Congratz on the elaboration. Maybe you should of said this than that sentence you first made. That would of prevented me from posting on this thread.

Its not a reading comprehension problem. Its a perception and point of view problem. I percieved that sentence in a different way than you did or everyone else. If you know that someone is going to read you're sentence wrong and that people are going to misunderstand you or take it the wrong way on that statment you made, why not make an elaboration on what the statement's intentions on. I now know I misunderstood you, but you didn't give me any reason to percieve the statment in another way with such a vague statment. In that way, its not entirely my fault.

But Im happy that I was proved wrong because I never like to use the word prejiduce ever. Im happy that wasn't you're intentions, but you do have to know that statments like that without any elaboration of what you're intentions are, isn't going to help you're case in the matter of reading comprehension. or getting you're point accross clearly. You are basically saying, "heres what Im saying, feel free to percieve it anyway you like." With an elaboration, you are basically telling me what you mean, you're intentions which will limit obscene and rediculous conclusion like the one that conjurred up. You can either agree or disagree with the statment, but you can't misinterpret what the statement means because the author clearly stated what the statments intentions and what you want to come out of that statment. And you did know that grammar on this fourm is a touchy subject, so ya... you kind of have to be careful about what you say. Just a note.

Btw... this was a useless bump. It would of been better if this kind of thread was restricted, nor continued.

I thought it was pretty obvious what I meant. If you have bad grammar, you look less intelligent. Pretty simple, and I did not need to elaborate on it.

Maybe I should have italicized a word or two for emphasis, but it seems you were the only one who misunderstood it, so that's not my fault. Sorry.

Good grammar makes you look more intelligent than someone who doesn't try to use good grammar.

thinking that using periods and capital letters = good grammar (trying for good grammar but failing miserably) makes you look the dumbest, IMO
