The knowledge that can be obtained from this experiment is well worth the risk as the risk is really small.
Yeah, what's 6 billion lives worth? (joking etc.)
Again this is just the work of a bunch of doom mongerers who are always in their basements with tin-foil hats scared of the next end of the world like the Myan Calendar one.

I don't recall the universe ending nor the devil coming to power on that day.
The Toronto explosion was actually the devil's wrath. Apparently they don't have working clocks/calendars.

You're Aja Leith of the Holograms! You're very exotic, intelligent and sophisticated.
When the United States dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan, many scientists believed the resulting explosion would continue and not subside, extinguishing all life on Earth. I think Fido touched on what it's actually called.
The point is it didn't happen.
Toward the end of the article, the author hinted on how the people who were saying the particle accelerator could cause a catostrophic even wern't even scientists.
I don't recall the universe ending nor the devil coming to power on that day.
This experiment has nothing to do with superstition.

When they drink soup made with a poisonous mushroom...? NO!!!
IT'S WHEN A PERSON IS FORGOTTEN...!!!
Am I the only one who is excited to see what actual data they get out of this? My stepfathers uncle had worked on a supercollider I think it was in Texas, it was a project that never got through completion but was gonna be the worlds largest supercollider so having been told that story by him of his work on it, I'm EXTREMELY curious to see what vast knowledge will be discovered by this experiment. As for the world ending... *snickers* If it DID end however, least I leave the world on a happy note. :P
I for one would welcome the calmness that such a powerful reaction would bring in its aftermath.

I, personally, welcome this experiment. As has been stated, if anything does go wrong and we do die, our deaths will be quick and painless. There won't be chaos, just.. nothing. And, as has also been stated, the chances of this happening are.. slim, to say the least. Besides, the discoveries to be made if this works!! Oh, what a great day in science that would be.
To all of you who say their are some things humans shouldn't know, consider this: What if these discoveries led to life on another planet, or a recreation of another planet, or even an entire galaxy! Of course, these are all extreme examples, but even something as simple as growing a mushroom in space would be a plus for us at this point.

Then i remembered i found the package last night while drunk and put it on in excitement, then immediately passed out.
