wrong my friend.. angle is a very bad wrestler. The ability to preform a smooth looking suplex, or to string together a bunch of moves and make it look nice does not make you a good wrestler. Aside from knowing how to wrestle, a good wrestler also has to know how to work the crowd, and how to cut a promo. Angle might be a good worker, but as for working the crowd, and cutting promos he sucks.. same with eddie except isn't a good worker either.

Huh?! Where have you been for the past 4 years?! Yea, he pulls off awesome moves... one is where he runs up the corner and suplexs the guy in an instant. He can pull out of moves smoothly, like both Benoit and Guerrero do. Go to ANY wrestling forum and all the people who actually know what they are talking about know that Angle is one of the best EVER in the business, not just now. But explain to me, how can't he cut promos?

He pulls the crowd into the matches. He makes a great face. He also makes an awesome heel. Many wrestlers can't match this. The only other wrestlers with as good of mic skills as Angle are The Rock, Austin, and Jericho. The only wrestlers who are as good in the ring as Angle are Benoit, Mysterio, and Jericho. Seriously, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

And also, explain to me why Angle has always been at the top tier of the WWE? He's fucking amazing at what he does, and Vince and the rest of the WWE see that. His attitude toward the business is fantastic... his dedication is superb... his talents unmatched. Angle is one of the biggest draws for the crowds. When he's a heel, he gets boos and is hated by the marks (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you know the terms heel, face, and mark). Hell, he even got a chant to his entrance song ("You suck! You suck!"). That was music to his ears, because he was doing his job, doing it right, and doing a damn good one at that. He pulls the face-heel switch good too. He has never been stuck in between for more than a show or two. How many wrestlers can pull that off? Not many, and not many nearly as good as Angle does.

I really hope Angle continues to be a heel. He gets the crowd hating him a lot. He bashes the city, sports icons who are from there and everything. He works the crowd and the marks over. My little brothers are marks and they hate him when Angles "bad", and love him when he's "good."

Oh, and Angle always gets a huge pop when he comes out to the ring... everyone gets into it... and everyone got into it when they did the "You suck!" chants.

EDIT: I made this long because this is my last message I have to say about it. I really love discussions like this, but I hate having them with people who don't know much about the subject, but think they do.

First of all, there are alot of good wrestlers in the WWE. If you couldn't draw heat from a crowd, you wouldn't be there anyway...it's the major leagues. Being able to draw heat from a crowd is a prerequisite for being a decent wrestler, but the ability to do so doesn't also make you a world class competitor.

Let me ask you something, Gordon Sole...if Kurt Angle is so fucking over, how come he wasn't in the main event of WrestleMania? If Kurt Angle is every bit as popular as you think he is, how come he is out sold, merchadise-wise, by the Rock, Steve Austin, and TRIPLE H, someone you failed to mention in your "intelligent" tirade, on a regular basis? I know why...because he's not that great.

You list Benoit, Mysterio, and Jericho as the best in ring workers today...but what you are failing to realize is that wrestling isn't real, and that for all the moves and reversals and technical-sets, the point of a wrestling match is to tell a story. So, logically, the best story-teller is the best wrestler. Shawn Michaels, Sting, Hogan...these guys are great story-tellers, in the ring, so explain to me, please, how they are not great in-ring workers,
or at least, how they are not as good as Rey Mysterio, when they have all had much more successful careers???

Kurt Angle's promos are whatever. They're decent, but to say that his only company on the mic are Rock, Austin, and JERICHO (who is not that great on the mic) is rediculous. Kurt Angle's promos are no greater than Shawn Michaels' or Christian's...they cover the bases, get the points across, and that's about it. I've never seen Kurt cut any promo that wasn't either a) this town is full of idiots or b) so and so wrestler is a loser who's not as good as Kurt Angle, and here's why. Either way, they are textbook promos, and are not the stuff that legends are made of. You don't see kids on the street talking about the "Three I's" or shit like that, do you? No...so to drop his name in their with the Rock and Austin, who's promo peices are household terms, is fanboy crap. He alright, but nothing more.

I know guys like you...you're all over the internet. You think you understand wrestling, and that other fans who don't think that Malenko is the all-time greatest are just unlearned about it, but the fact is, it's you guys who don't get it. If all these guys were so damn great, they would be the guys headlining WrestleMania's for years and years...they'd be the guys with the t-shirt sales skyrocketing, and the lunchboxes, tv interviews, and movie roles. Yeah I know, "Vince pushes big guys...the glass ceiling..." blah blah blah. It's a bunch of horseshit. Vince McMahon is in the entertainment business, and that's what wrestling is, entertainment. If you're looking for people who are proficient at the art of wrestling, watch NCAA...but in the WWE, in that world, there's more to it. The guys who are super-over are the guys who are worth a shit. It's really that simple.

And another thing...if you think I don't know what I'm talking about...and that you think you know more about wrestling than me, think again. Just because I don't like a bunch of indie wrestling and some mid-carder losers who nobody likes doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. It's common knowledge among successful wrestlers (like CHIRS JERICHO, for example) that the wrestling internet fans are full of shit, and that their opinions are half-assed and unintelligent. The IWC is a bunch of idiots who don't know there ass from a hole in the ground about what ACTUALLY sells wrestling. How do you propose that you know more about wrestling than me, when it's obvious that your opinions don't even concur with those of actuall wrestlers who have DONE IT before and promoters, like Vince McMahon, who have made a BILLION DOLLARS selling this shit?

If you were actually there I need to know how hard it was to get back into the show after Lesnar and Goldberg mailed it in. I was so pissed at that half-assed match it took me a while to get back into the PPV. People don't want to pay $50 to watch shit like that.

87x: The thing is, is that wrestling is viewed in many ways. I apologize for the harshness of my previous posts; I didn't meant to come off like a cockbite.

1) Angle has been over for a long time. Over meaning he's credible for being in the title contention. Oh, and have you forgotten all the PPVs Angle has Main Evented in? INCLUDING last years Wrestlemania?! The Triple Threat match was booked for Benoit.. it was Benoits night and he deserved it.
2) He sells a LOT of merchandise.. not as much as the 3 you listed, but so what? He's still way up there, and a lot higher than most wrestlers.
3) HHH... good lord... okay, I liked him a few years ago. But now he uses his power to hold down other wrestlers and do what he wants. He's boring as fuck in the ring and doesn't do jack shit these days. I still want him around though.. he's a good icon... I'm very happy to see that he gave the title up at Wrestlemania... now let's hope it stays off of him for a while.
4) Michaels, Sting, Hogan... they are legends, enough said. Also, back in the day, Wrestling was quite different than it is now.. both in the ring, on the mic, and in the form of audiences.
5) Jericho is great on the mic... he's hilarious, can create heat, and is just plain fun to watch. I don't see how you think he's not great on the mic... I think he sells his character very well.
6) I have quite a different opinion on Angle's promos, but it's kind of mute to argue opinions. :P
7) I don't care about the indie wrestlers and the midcarders either... For example, everyone talks about how great Lance Storm is.. sure he can pull of moves, but it's only good... It's not amazing.. It's not spectacular. He COULD be, but he's not.
8) I don't get where you came up with that second to last sentence...

87x: ok wmxx was awesome. i pmed u about my experience. but to get on with the situation....the only reason angle is out-merchandised is because the rock and austin and HHH have been there alot longer than he has!

Banditcom:ANGLE SUX. u know why? the only way he makes it to the top is by cheating. i admit he has some good wrestling moves, but so does benoit, and u dont see benoit making his way up...BECAUSE HE DOESNT CHEAT. the only reason auston and rock and hhh are up there is cause they both earned their respect...thats how they stay up there. angle has to cheat to be at the top. i agree with u HHH sux ass as a person. he is just as bad as angle. but i admit, they both put on a good show. thats wut keeps the ppl watching. angle cheating=someone wanting revenge=huge event=alot of people=big $$$, and high ratings.

hes the best wrestler when it comes to acrobatic stunts, gravity-defying moves, etc. i like his style. and yes he does deserve it, but like the other 80 wrestlers, he has to earn it.

well dancing maniac.. about your reason why angles merchandice gets out sold by austin, HBK, etc... its not because they have been there longer.. shit.. bigshow has been there forever.. and nobody buys his shit.. i saw one guy with a bigshow shirt on... out of 20+ thousand people.. thats a bad thing.. angle shit doesn't sell because he's not as over and people think he is.. having a chant to your entrance song isn't really drawing heat from the crowd.. shit.. i know people who hate HHH but still sing his entrance song when he comes out.. just because its sweet to do.. angle took lessons from the "hard knocks and cheap pops" book that mick foley(sp?) wrote... baching a city's icons is always going to draw heat.. but during the match.. its never abundantly clear that the people hate angle. Think of some of the most hardcore badasses in wrestling history... and there of the crowd reaction they got.. im not going to begin to list them because its all controvertial... plain and simple, angle isn't derserving of a title shot.. atleast not the world title.. throw him in some mid card stuff.. and let him shine.. but.. to say he's a world continder(sp?) is crazy..

i went to wrestle mania anyone else? and if so, did you notice Hulk Hogan(or a lookalike) strolling the rows of seats in the higher levels around tower C of seating i was around that area, behind the stage our screen kept going out. stupid camera men. i was so angry when Benoit won... HBK is one of the most screwed over wreslters there are, he deserved that belt.
