Re: Someone just beat the IRS.
Did anyone actually read the article?
He had a legitimate case all along. Most people are just too afraid, or don't have the money and support, to go against something as large as the IRS.
Say someone is a policyholder in a private corporation. They paid $30 a share for their part. Then, the company goes public, reducing the ownership from the policyholders, but rewarding them with $32 dollar shares. The IRS only recognizes the shares when it had gone public, thus, the people were taxed for the whole $32 dollars, when in reality they already paid the $30, and should only been taxed on the $2 increase.Comment

Haha, my apologies. I didn't mean to suggest that you didn't read it. I assumed you knew what i meant. I was just referring to a few of the people who posted after that.
All the same, it is pretty amazing that he won, and it's great for America as a whole.Comment
