The only reason I say most of us are bored of this game is that there has NOT BEEN AN UPDATE WORTH MENTIONING since AV-Miss-Fix. I'd say subscribers deserve feature pumps at least once every one or two weeks. D: Forget updates to the forum and such, I though summer was an update filled, event packed month. :S

I think Xelius kinda forgot about the Favorite feature thing... It seems like it's been hanging on the beta since before the Fix was in beta.

FFR started to get boring for me because I was being too competitive with it. It's more fun for me now because I don't bother whoring songs or worrying about maintaining my ranks. I just play songs that I could improve on when I have free time (which I have a lot of right now) and have fun figuring out how to make that improvement happen. Basically...I played the game too much and it got boring/frustrating as if it was work rather than leisure. Playing in moderation helped make it somewhat fun again.

As far as Stepmania goes, I never really had much fun playing that so I hardly play it at all. I have fun stepping stuff and playing some files that my friends make, but that's about it. I know it could make me a lot better at FFR, but that's not a priority to me at this point in time. If I got completely bored with FFR, I'd rather find more of a different game to play than Stepmania anyways.

I've never gotten bored of ffr. I don't play stepmania. I like ffr because you compete against everybody in the world and it's a never ending battle to make yourself the best

i agree its getting boring... i think we will all having fun until 3rd style comes in with all the new stuff...but oh well... in 10 years maybe.

I definately agree. It has become a bit boring. I think the staff is too busy with future projects that they've forgotten, or just simply put aside everything that needs to be done right now. Then again, they're only humans and can do so much. The best thing is to continue supporting them and helping out in anyway possible.

I don't think being bored with FFR is worth mentioning. When it says, "Whether you've come for the games, the music, or the community, you've come to the right place," it definitely applies to you, because it's not saying you're going to like all of it, but you're definitely going to like some part of it, and since you do, they were 100% right. You are one of the people here for the community, and I'm one of the people who are here mostly because of the game.

Well, I only come here for the community (and maybe the music).

Lots of people come here for one thing or another. You'd be surprised. Some people here (myself included) enjoy the forums exclusively, without actually playing FFR regularly.

Does anyone else here think that this game gets boring sometimes? (I mean really, really boring)

Disagree with this. Although I primarily played Stepmania I still enjoyed it up until when I had to quit due to RSI, it never got boring. If you just don't play it non-stop then it can be a fun diversion.

I can't think of a single game that will stay interesting forever. It's only natural to expect that eventually, everything in a game will feel like a repeat. Even if there's some "expansion pack" or "new level pack"... it can only be fresh for so long. Expansions are just a way of saying "Here's a way to do roughly the same thing you've been doing forever."

In FFR, it can only be expected that once you've pushed the same sets of patterns for years and years and years, it will get old. Sure, there are different songs to play, but you're pressing the same sets of patterns, just offered in different groups depending on the song.

It gets boring sooner for some people than for others. If you take a break and come back later, you might find it's fun again. But if not, just find something new. I played Guitar Hero for years, and just recently I finally got sick of it. I moved on from it, and I don't miss it. Moving on is good.
