Okay. So it's not 1 coin per log. (Thus the 6/4 disqualification)

There are so many factors that could to into this. But at any rate, I'll try at surface value.

Devonin had a great idea. It's hard to compete with that really but I'll try one more time before I completely give up. (It's hard >>)

7 to Shash, and 3 to Soul. Well paying just for finding lumber is one thing, but you also have to pay for the service of having a fire. Shash gets 7 because he brought more wood which means the fire will stay up longer.

or...

10 coins to Shash while promising Soul that he will AAA all songs for him. :O

I haven't read a post from Rubix confirming that all the coins are the same after others have posted that they could be different.

All the coins are the same. They all have the same value. Assume that equitable distribution of the coins is sufficient compensation.

Hint: Think about what an ideal situation would be like had all three people collected the same amount of wood. Now compare that to this situation. Could you perhaps synthesize it and compensate?

I know the answer, I assumed Rubix was gone for the night so I was going to temporarily answer questions.

Oh, I got it!

Solution: They make a giant plinko board out of the logs they collected. Laggy drops the coins down from the top...shash gets six spots with his face on them at the bottom, and soul gets four. Whoever's face the coin lands on gets to keep the coin.

Laggy buys three logs from Shash, and one from Soul. This gives a somewhat equal answer, 3-3-4. He has to buy the work they gave, and since he did nothing, he has to buy enough to have more than them. While doing this, he gives 2 coins per log + 1 coin each for fire.

Shash receives 7 coins, 6 from logs + 1 for fire.
Soul receives 3 coins, 2 from logs + 1 for fire.

Also, when you say it's not 6 and 4, do you mean no matter what reasoning we might have, it cannot be 6 and 4?
