    Yes, the North Eastern portion of North America, Europe, and Asia are DEFINITELY "pretty much the entire globe". South America, Africa, and Australia do not exist.

    I wish that animated globe was more detailed in the Western hemisphere. The thing is so distorted, I can't even tell if the sun will have risen in Michigan yet when this eclipse goes by. It's a Friday, so I'll be at work, which means I'll definitely not be sleeping when the sun comes up. Hopefully things aren't too busy and I can have a look outside when the sun is coming up.

    EDIT: Bah! Using my advanced skills of higher level genius mathematics, I have deduced that the sun most certainly will not be up yet, meaning no eclipses for me.

            I saw one in London when i was younger. Birds start tweeting as they think its morning just after the eclipse is finished.

                Nice. Now after this solar eclipse, all over the tv are going to be shows about Nostradamus prophecies of the three solar eclipses in 2000 leading to 2012 and a whole bunch of warnings and junk is going to start kicking up again >_<

                        I can't believe it took over 20 posts for someone to crush the Americans' hopes of seeing this solar eclipse as so plainly described in the article. Terrible.

                            I mean, I know they don't happen every year, but I know I've seen at least one eclipse, so I don't think missing this one is a huge deal.

                                                    I live in Florida so there is no way I can see it from down here. Only thing good in Florida is oranges, theme parks, and immigrants.
