Yes, the North Eastern portion of North America, Europe, and Asia are DEFINITELY "pretty much the entire globe". South America, Africa, and Australia do not exist.
I wish that animated globe was more detailed in the Western hemisphere. The thing is so distorted, I can't even tell if the sun will have risen in Michigan yet when this eclipse goes by. It's a Friday, so I'll be at work, which means I'll definitely not be sleeping when the sun comes up. Hopefully things aren't too busy and I can have a look outside when the sun is coming up.
EDIT: Bah! Using my advanced skills of higher level genius mathematics, I have deduced that the sun most certainly will not be up yet, meaning no eclipses for me.
