That or our brains naturally try and make sense of things that don't make sense. Clockwise is drawn better to the way a human would actually be spinning in 3d.
Also i think this is more about which of yours eyes is more dominant and not what side of your brain.

The way I see the image originally changes each time I load it. I can also make it spin the opposite direction at will, while still looking at it. If you focus on the foot, and when it reaches its outermost point, imagine it suddenly shifting and turning the other way (instead of going around behind, coming back out front), then you see it go the other way.

      It's really easy.

I can only see it counter-clockwise. However I don't think this is a very good test to see which brain side you use.

Hmm...I see what you mean Relambrien. It works. But you have to "distance" yourself from the image and make sure you aren't immersed, for lack of a better word, in one direction or the other.

From the descriptions, I'm a hell of a lot more left brained than right brained, but every time I do a test they're almost dead even. I guess that's where a lot of writers end up.

That makes sense, though, if you're a writer. Logic and creativity are both necessary to write something good, in my opinion.

I don't think the brain could be described like that so easily from just human concepts.

Re: Are YOU RiGHT or LEFT??..

I initially saw it going clockwise, so by that test I am right-brained. After looking at how it can be seen both ways, I did. It started going counter-clockwise one second and my brain switched it the next.

But I agree with Izzy; no simple test can describe every individual's brain and how they function.

Same for me. At first I saw it going clockwise, but now I can see it turning both ways.

Yeah, this advice helped a lot.

Before, I had trouble making shifts in the figure's direction, but by focusing on the feet of the figure, it's become real easy for me to make shifts.

                        Thanks.

Also, I remember seeing a thread very similar to this in the not too distant past.

I can make it change directions at will, does that mean anything? >.> Plus I'm left handed but I saw it turning clockwise at first.

I was able to switch the way the picture spun through concentration, and then eventually it jsut stopped spinning and i saw the left leg always in froun sawtin back and foward in a 180 degree turn. Does that mean I'm Whole Brained?

Same here, DaeGa, I can switch it at my own discretion. Strange.

Even more ironically, sumzup made a post earlier about how both logic and creativity are needed for a good writer. No bragging, but my writing is really good. So I guess your abilities will reveal the side of the brain you depend more on.
