Wouldn't focusing more on the music and less on the step files be diverting attention from the original creation of the site? I like the idea... just not as focused on it as increasing popularity and how well it's liked within the site before expanding the horizon.

But keep in mind that anyone could host, (even paying to do so) say... dragonforce and fraudulenty give FFR song permission for them, nobody would be the wiser. Say nobody finds out... a couple months pass.... uh-oh.

Wouldn't that turn FFR from a keyboard rhythm game into some place where every guy and his dog with a crappy band post their music that nobody wants to listen to?

If this goes through, I'll drop soundclick and upload everything here.

we're a gaming site, a music site, a social networking site... we are all of those things. I know that Jason has been working on musician type profiles that would allow for the uploading of music for a long time. I don't know how close that is to being released.

Why are all of the admin's jobs divided, when things could actually be accomplished in a faster period if a few worked together?

Because the number of admins is much smaller than the number of things that need and want doing?

Well what juggling said makes sense..if they all worked together on a single project or two, things would get done much faster. But I'm sure they have their reasons...

Re: A new direction for FFR

because we all have our strengths and weaknesses. it makes no sense for me to work on the php and coding when jason, maldon, summerschool are experts at that. and at the same time, it makes no sense for them to add levels or make gameplay decisions or handle the bands because that's my expertise, amongst other things. we have a small team of people who each have their specific talents. and while we do work together in a broad sense of running ideas by each other and brainstorming... the nitty gritty is done by those who can do it best.
