    Bush's Ammendment proposal--for some controversy.

Mm, controversy. I am right now just wondering what you think about his decision.

Its a good move going into election time for him. He gets the UBER conservative voters, who would go for independants (if there were independants). It could get uber conservatives to vote, who might not otherwise. It gets publicity.

Now the liberals, gay people, Massachussetians, and barely-republicans REALLY dont like him. That wont hurt him much though.

But about the law, what is your take? I think it is a turn for the worse, personally. I am a liberal-demo-independant kind of person, so Im not for him passiong any nation laws. Eww.

Not everyone will agree with me on this one, I know it. But what is all of your takes on it?

      Yay, my state hates Bush.

What's the poll asking? If the proposed amendment is good or bad or if the controversy is good or bad?
I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.

Yeah so do I, the stand Bush is taking can still cost him votes because of it's ultraconservative base.

I'm torn. I think that the country tends to be xenophobic, homophobic, and pretty much phobic of everything, so I'm thinking the majority of people are going to vote against. This is a social issue, not something that can be placed on a political spectrum, so it's a bit harder to catagorize. I think that Bush will probably get the majority of votes voting for it, but whether or not it will recieve the necessary 3/4 of state ratifications is up for grabs.

              I give you evidence A

              1st amendment rights > George Bush's homophobia

They'd have to blow up the entire first amendment to get remotly on gay marrage and when people realise that, they'll be giving old georgie the finger

              kinda like this

              <^>(>.<)<^> > george bush

firstly D-CAMID, the freedom of speech has nothing to do with marital rights...as you know couples gain certain rights when they are married as opposed to when they are not...secondly id like to bring up this issue...the democratic candidates said they are also against gay marriage, but they arent for the ammendement...this may potentially hurt their votes, especially if nader runs and supports gay marriage (yet to be seen)

oh and lastly, anti its a 2/3 vote

That's true, one of the ways is. But there are four different ways of amending the constitution, and the one I'm thinking of (the one that's ratified most of the constitutional amendments) requires 3/4 of state legislatures to ratify. But again, I might be wrong, so...

Thats funny, because no one in the US even knows who is running your country, which shows how much we should care about your opinion.
