Wonderfull comic, Devonin. For the answer, I wanted to say heat, but that's wrong obviously. Waiting for the next riddle.

Best strat: enjoy the game, play what you feel like when you feel like it. Don't think about what you are doing or why, enjoy the gameplay, the artistry behind the stepfile, and enjoy the music.
When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

Yeah, FFR is addicting...I don't think I'll get bored with this game unless I somehow become the best at it, which won't happen.
Mmmk, I'll make a thread with it. I'm just trying to put all the pieces together first so people don't try and get me on technicalities. I myself haven't figured it out since I was told it in 8th grade.
P.S. I'm not in 11th.

Everyone sucks at this game. The second you think you're good is the second you stop trying to get better.

PART 2There are 3 houses. They are side by side like this:
X Y Z
There are 3 utilities: gas, water, and electricity. The 3 utilities need to reach each house without crossing each other. They cannot go above each other. They cannot go parallell to each other. They can not cross. They do not run together and they are not all run by the same company. The lines also do not go through the houses like this:
X------Y------Z
An example of a wrong answer would be this:
E W G
X ^ Y ^ Z
V V V
And this:
E G
^ ^
X
< Y
Z >
V
W
You get my point. Also, a key:
<,>,V,^ = power lines linking in the direction they lead
W = water company
G = gas company
E = electric company
X = house 1
Y = house 2
Z = house 3

The puzzle is impossible unless you use a type of special two-dimensional surface called a Torus. On a standard piece of flat paper, it is not actually possible.

Wow...
Woud never have come up with that...

If you don't understand what a torus is, think of a world map. You can also model it that way. Basically, when you "leave" the top you end up at the bottom and vice-versa, and if you "leave" the left or right sides, you end up on the opposite sides. Think of it as folding a world map into a tube so the top of the map is right up against the bottom of the map, and then folding that tube in around itself to form a donut so the east side of the map touches the west. What makes the riddle impossible on a standard 2d-field piece of paper is that you'd have to somehow get a utility line going a certain direction to end up going the same direction on the other side of the paper without making any turns, which is impossible without something like a torus.
