    A Flogging Molly Contest

    Yea so I entered a contest a few days ago not expecting to win jack sh*t, the 1st place prize was a Flogging Molly AUTOGRAPHED guitar, second place was a FM skatedeck, I don't know what third place got. If there even was a third place. So I'm checking my e-mail, and I open up one from punkradiocast.com (the contest holderer [good website for listening to Punk and the like]) and I find out I got second place! I'm pretty much astounded, stuff like that never happens to me. I don't know if the skate deck will be autographed or not.

    That's my news for the day.

                                              Flogging Molly did a show in my home town in south jersey once. The lead singer was so drunk he forgot the lyrics to his own songs and fell off the stage. It was the best show I ever went to.

                                                  You know what I find funny? The fact that DKM and FM like to sing about Ireland...and the "Olden Days of Yonder" or some bullsh*t like that, but the bands themselves are based out of America and are comprised of Americans.

                                                      Yeah, I'm pretty sure DKM is out of Boston. No idea about FM. I was supposed to go to a Dropkick Murphys concert a few months ago in Orlando, but those tickets sold out fast.

                                                          I've always found that the songs that reference the "mother-land" or whatever are usually brought up in reference to their father's telling them some story, meaning that they're first-generation Americans.
