Drinking is a lot about the mood and atmosphere around everyone else who's drinking. It helps people open up and sometimes brings up the best of conversations. I would say the holiday is about that atmosphere. Not the whole act of getting drunk in itself. This is however, arguable but whatever. My 2 cents.

My choir sings that every spring concert. It makes people cry, especially alumni and seniors. It's a pretty emotional time.

But yeah, now I've got that song in my hand [obviously it's longer than just those lines.]

Hmmm...No one knows this I'm guessing...

March 15 - St. Patrick's Day, celebrated in Ireland, the United States, and most of the English speaking world. (Held on March 15 instead of the usual 17th to avoid the second day in Holy Week.) Unless changes are made as to when Easter can be observed, this particular March 17th will be the last one to fall within Holy Week until 2160.

I'm pretty sure anyone who participates in Holy Week knows that.
