UFOs??

Hello,
First of I don't wanna look like I'm in a sect or something but those this is really freakening me out.

I just found met a guy on youtube who has lots of videos of UFOs he says he filmed most of them himself if you want to take a look at his vids -> http://youtube.com/user/ever2020 (I am not advertising, just giving sources). I suggest you take a look at this video at first I tought they were birds but after a closer look I changed my mind. Just pause it and watch their formation it's structured and birds travel using a V formation.

So I started wondering how come he sees so many UFO's and what are they doing here. I sent him a message:

I'm just filming all that I see around here, but I don't know why this is happening. I can tell you that I see these things almost every single day when they aren't spraying chemtrails.

If these things don't belong to our government which I think is the case, they sure know these crafts are around. I have so many friends from different parts of the world and they have told very interesting things but I don't know what to believe, but all of them have said one thing in common and that all that is happening have to do with the year 2012 and the UFOs sightings are going to take place all over the planet.

Get inform, do some research is vital to you and your family survival.

I know I'm not supposed to post just a wikipedia article but this thread isn't really about that.

So my question is: Do you believe in extra-terrestrials? Have they already visited our planet? If yes, why? And do you think they are linked with the year 2012 and how are they linked?

Edit: I'm not sure if this is Critical Thinking material. Don't be supprised if it gets locked.

Before I launch into this, let me start off by saying that I do believe other life exists in the unniverse. As far as we know, the universe dosen't end. It's true volume is that of which we cannot comprehend, and I find it very hard to believe that we are alone.
However with that said, I don't believe beings from another world have ever landed on Earth. Alot of alleged UFO sightings are more easily explained than you might think. I saw a History Channel documentation where they put a whole bunch of home made UFO videos to the test and sent them out several analysts. Many of them turned out to be airplanes, blimps, or light reflections.
On another note, I think that when a person believes so strongly in something, something that they truely want to believe in in, it's easy to be influenced by something that may not have anything to do with it at all.

I just watched the first video on that guys page, and I can tell you that, without a doubt, several of those photos were clearly airplanes. Another thing I noticed about the video was that many of the night pictures had a solid black background. Was it a cloudy night? Same thing with the day pictures. I'm not saying that everything this guy has is false evidence, but you should think realisticly.

You should message him and ask him if he ever considered sending them to a video forensics lab. I'd be interested to hear those results.


Edit: About the whole Myan Calendar thing... I find it hard to believe in, despite whatever it was right about in the past, which by the way is your only piece of compelling evidence. I'm not gonna get to far into it because there was already a thread about it a while back, and this thread will probaly get locked.

That's what I think too. It's why I wanted to ask someone else's opinions.

i for one am a believer in aliens, but most of the ufo sightings in the world are fake, id say maybe 1 out of 200,000 may actually be real, they probably come to laugh at us because humans in general are stupid.

Not 2012 again.

The 2012 apocalypse rumor is a perfect example of how quickly false information can spread through a population and be believed.

The Mayan calendar does not predict the end of the world. 2012 is not the end of the calendar (calendar's do not end...). As a matter of fact, to completely disprove this, Mayans have cited dates and events they thought would happen long after 2012, such as the celebration of their kings. The only thing happening in 2012 is the beginning of the 13th Baktun, which is meaningless aside from the fact the Mayans liked to celebrate it. Baktuns have turned over countless times in the past, so we should be dead 12 times over by now if anything were to happen. The whole fabrication of this rumor is the exact same as those associated with the year 2000 and every other erroneous prediction of the end of the world.

Anyway, I've never seen convincing footage of an alien aircraft. Humans are incredibly good at taking things they can't make out and attributing them to something superior to themselves. Attributing things to the work of God is a similar example.

I highly doubt if aliens made the excruciating trip of crossing intergalactic space just to get here, that they would fly around mysteriously and randomly in the sky, allowing a select few individuals to get low quality videos of them and then fly off. No, there would be some sort of purpose to that visit: likely along the lines of making contact, or studying the planet directly or stealing our resources >_>
