I wanted to be a programmer in high school, too. But then I got to a tech college and saw all the options available and suddenly, poof, Aerospace Engineer. I still take CS courses, probably going to get a job or two in Computational Fluid Dynamics at some point, but my focus has completely changed since high school.

Plus I teach high school and I see students who are well above the intellectual level of their peers and I see students who think they are well above the intellectual level of their peers and both types of students benefit from learning to interact with people their age. In any walk of life you are going to meet people you think are complete idiots, and you will be forced to work with those people.
You guys are making some really good points, but then again i also want to maybe get a job programming. It just would feel right, workin from home, on a computer.
And yeah i agree you should be able to do what you please, or what you think it right.

As much as I understand how being in a setting with a lot of peers who don't understand your condition is difficult, shutting yourself off from that day to day contact would only prevent you from learing to cope with it. I went to school and became rather close with a girl with Asperger's in high school. In freshman year she was a complete wreck and would cry at the drop of a hat. The other students didn't understand her condition and would tease her endlessly. By senior year she had learned to ignore them and even to give them a piece of her mind about it. People not only stopped teasing her, but also stuck up for her if anyone dared to even give her a weird look.

Once you graduate from this small setting, you are just going to be thrown back into the real BIG world with no experience on how to cope with it. You can't avoid the inevitable, and if you try it is just going to bite you in the ass eventually.
The weight of what I say depends on how you feel.

Re: So I Found About this new High School...

You remind me of one of my friends who graduated high school at the same time he got a Master's in Physics, though (no offense to you or anything) he's probably at a higher caliber than you. He didn't really have much of a problem with "maturing" properly or anything, and I don't see why you would either, as long as you didn't become a total loner.

I do think that there are certain experiences in high school that one should go through, whether or not one thinks them to be lame. Things like dances, sports, extracurricular activites, prom, etc. are things you can't really do anywhere else, and you may regret making a hasty decision later on if you aren't sure now.

Out of curiosity, what classes are you taking currently? And are they all distance education? (one thing: taking science classes with distance education is stupid and not worth it; a major component of science is lab, and missing that ruins the whole point)

By the way, if you're really set on becoming a games programmer, you should learn linear algebra as fast as you can (really important for 3D). It's better than Calculus (1, 2, or 3) in my opinion, with the exception of series in Calc 2, which are also important for programming, incidentally. Nothing else in calculus can really be applied to programming; calculus is more science-oriented.
