Yes I have. He had an honest sign that read "I won't lie, I'll use the money for beer and/or ciggarettes" it made me laugh so I gave him a couple of dollars. The ones that I hate are the "Feel sorry for me" ones.

Like "Can't find a job. Have 12 kids, 7 dogs, 4 cats, 2 fish, and a wife to feed." That's a little over the top, but you get my drift. Those people, in my opinion, are just too lazy to get off their butt and get a real job. And yes, they can if they really wanted to. I knew someone who had a jail record and got a job at jamba juice w/o anyones' help.

Somewhere in Europe I tried to give a few Duetschmarks to a homeless guy but my parents wouldn't let me and I felt absolutely terrible that they wouldn't let me help someone. (I was like 8)

I usually give money to the homeless people that personally walk up and address my friends and I, especially if we get funny excuses. For example, "Hey man, can I borrow a few dollars? I've got 100 cows in Ohio and...I just need some money."

Also, outside of a burger place, "Man I love these burgers can I borrow a few dollars to get one of these burgers? Thanks guys, these burgers are the greatest." Then he casually walks off in the opposite direction.

i dont give hobos money, but ill try and buy them food. only one hobo didnt like what i bought him and threw it on the ground. =/

I saw a hobo in downtown Burbank once, he asked me if I could spare him some change, but I didn't have any on me. But, I wouldn't have given him any anyway =/

I didn't exactly give the 2nd one money, but offered him my sandwich and as I was walking away he threw it back at me.

I saw a bunch of hobos in Salem (Oregon) once. They were all just sittin' by the G.I. Joe's when we drove by and I pulled my sister's headphones out and I'm like "Whoa... look... hobos!", and she's like "Whoa... look... hobos!"

Oh, and I'd definitely rather die than eat out of the trash or sit under a building while it's -10 outside. I'd just find some way to get myself killed as quickly and as painlessly as possible. So in a way, I sort of agree with Cloud0005, just not in such a "Who gives a sh*t about the less fortunate?" kind of way.

i gave a hobo like 50 cents if i could take a picture with him and his dog
the guy was huge and he had the tiniest dog
and a bunch of pies for some reason (maybe he sells pie? i dont know)

I used to gives hobos in front of church quarters in secret. But that was when I was a much better Christian.

When I lived in Oklahoma City a really really old guy offered me sex in exchange for a taco.

And then there was the guy on the train who gave me everything in his pockets.

I give more money to people who ask for it in Waco than people in Dallas... just don't trust 'em up there in the big city.
