    Re: Oh, kids these days.

Honestly I say that students should feel free to discuss what they want. It's at their own risk and whatever anyone overhears is their problem. I hate hearing stories of kids that got ****y and stupid and got busted cuz they blabbed in front of a teacher, but if you are gonna be an idiot then it's your fault. As for posting pictures of drinking it's like the tools that roll a huge joint or some **** and take pictures of it. And then they don't expect people to realize it. Damn kids these days are so dumb sometimes>.>

I'm having trouble seeing this from a conservative point of view. I don't know how old these kids are. If they were, say, 14, then I would be more inclined to say that this was a problem. I assumed they were seniors in high school, but I guess I could be wrong.
The weight of what I say depends on how you feel.

or maybe the teachers are opinionated >_>

i dunno i think if they're stupid enough to post pictures of themselves drinking on the internet and they ARE underaged, then they deserve consequence.

Kids will be kids, all right. Few 18-year-olds are actually mature enough to be adults.

Anyway, my school president last year was busted in a similar situation. It was for posting pictures of herself consuming alcohol on Myspace. She had to resign from ASB office.

Oh man I was studying that picture of the school like, "man, that school looks really familiar." So then I decide to read the article and it's South Burlington High School. I go to Burlington High School and we ****ing hate those SBHS Rebels. Glad they got caught haha, still strange how thats 15 minutes from my house.

I'm not saying I'm going to go out of my way to get students in trouble, but I will still report illegal activity if I know it's going on.

This could also fall under abuse, which schools are required by law to report, if parents knowingly supplied the alcohol.

Edit: Also, this is just like the people who get arrested for posting videos of their kids smoking pot on youtube -- the authorities don't go looking for stuff like that, people tip them off.
I'm confused. You have kids? And are you a teacher or something??? You refer to the role of the teacher as yourself...

Anyways, Yeah. Stupid stuff is stupid. And illegal stuff is illegal. And illegal stupid **** shouldn't be posted on the internet.

This makes me laugh. I'm still careful about what pictures I put up and I'm in ****ing college and I don't really have to worry about that ****...
