What is the difference between silver and white, scientifically? White reflects all wavelengths, and so does silver, I think, so what makes them different? Its not that its the material that is white, its not that whitebounces wavelengths funny....so Im curious.

I dont think it is ONLY the sheen/gloss of like a mirror surface (Like, first surface mirrors dont do that thing).

EDIT: Sorry, neither black nor white are colours, they're shades I believe.

white isnt in the spectrum...it is an absence of all the colors in the spectrum...silver must be a simliar composite of colors
