Here is what it comes down to.. You yourself said forum rules are irrelevant. I run the site and ultimately I decide what is appropriate, not other forums that you have accepted as the norm. There is no arguement over what is correct in this situation tonight.

How many hits do your forums get Aperson? I can tell you overall stats of the site if you would like to know. Approximately 1.4-2.1 million hits per day or around 350,000-500,000 page views. I don't track hits on just the forums. Why would you even want to know the hits? What purpose would it serve? The forum is a bonus, the game is the draw. If you don't like the forum or the people in the forum, you are free to leave. Obviously there is some entertainment value if you keep coming back.

I don't think aperson should have been banned. The picture wasn't that bad, and his avatar was just a joke. Nothing really banworthy, in my opinion.

I know that Synth's word is final and all, and I respect his decisions, but...I really don't think he should have initially been banned. The picture was maybe cause for you to take it down or get mad, but I don't think anything he did was banworthy. I mean he's been here for a long time, he's a very prominent (and talented- I love Everyone, even if it is a bit hard) stepfile maker, and he's generally been pretty cool around the forums. It wasn't like Yoshi or Oink who had been annoying and fucktardish for long periods of time beforehand. I'm not saying anyone has to listen to my judgement, I'm just stating my feelings on the matter.

All the people that say he shouldn't have been banned are the same type of people who picked the "Moderators are bad!" option in the poll on the front page, and are probably eminem obsessed kids below the minimum age required to join the forums.

well i dont think he should be banned because many other users have done much worse stuff and probably didnt get more than a warning...so i said if this a new cracking down them im all for that, but if this banning is based on past prescedents then this just isnt right...it seemed that he didnt get much of a warning either...maybe im wrong i wasnt here when it happened...i didnt really notice what aperson had done on the forums before but if he was generally an asshole maybe i can see why he was banned...you know if it was a cumulation of things, but if it was just this one instance...well, i dont feel it was the rigth move

Maybe I've got it wrong. But it seems to me that Synthlight didn't ban Aperson mainly for the pictures he posted (which I never saw in the first place, so I wouldn't know how bad they really are) It seems more like it's because Aperson is constantly arguing, and is acting like a spoiled brat who isn't getting what he wants. I mean look at THIS thread. It's sole purpous was to get some members into saying "oh yeah Aperson doesn't deserve to be banned, blah blah blah" but do you honestly think it will help? Synthlight makes all the decisions around here, and if he choses to ban Aperson, so be it. We have no power over what he decides to do.

Exactly, which gives Synth even MORE reason to ban him. Then again, I could really care less wether he gets banned or not, I'm just saying what I think.
