Because I never took my time to learn the fridrich method in more completion I learned about 4-8 algorithms in the F2L. I solve the rest using basic layer by layer method. I am going to start working on my times a bit and working on the algs soon hopefully

Say I were to learn just 2-4 F2L algs...then try and repeat those until I get my F2L's done. Is that a smart idea? Or should I try learning more?

I just got 1 minute 38 seconds which is for me good. Also, I'm using the Layer-by-Layer newbie method but I tried learning the Petrus and when I'll be comfortable enough, I'll do the Fridrich.

"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
            "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

                Re: The Official Rubik's Thread

Lol jokim get some silicone in there, it'll work like a charm.

So does anyone here have a simplified F2L method that doesn't involve me learning 40 or so algs?

Could someone explain me what all those terms are ?

F2L and all those things o_O

                  I'm totally lost XD

do you consider filling the bottom face and 1st layers as algs ? lol
(I'd say there are many methods >.> lol)

If not, i use only 4 algs to finish the cube at that point >.> (lots of repetitions - i should go learn more, especially for the 3rd layer and top face XD)

                    Re: The Official Rubik's Thread

F2L - First 2 Layers, just after the cross, there are algs to get the corners of the first layer and the 2nd layer all together.

OLL - Orient last layer, it makes all of the last sides' colors facing up - cross and corners.

PLL - Permutate last layer, its just aligning the Middles and the Corners of the last layer.

                      Oh, Thanks.

If i wasn't lazy i'd surely go learn a few more algs to finish last layer and top face faster XD

Yeah, I need to try a silicone also. My Curel hand lotion has been working pretty great, but I should probably try to use something official.

It has worked fine for me but you should try to learn as many as you can

EDIT: Sorry I haven't updated in a while i got 3/4 through it last week and my internet just randomly failed and closed and i didn't finish it. BUT when I'm not really tired I'll go trough and update tomorrow. For now I must say very nice times from everyone, and sorry to whoever posted a lucky solve but I cannot except that score for if I did, my best would be considerably faster.

what does "Lucky solve" means ? o_O

i know what lucky means and i know what solving is, Just want... precisions/examples ?

I decided to learn lars petrus method (sorry if i spelled it wrong)
sure gonna save me lot of time if I "master" it (and get a better cube by then)

you DO have to memorize the whole thing and think ahead of like.... 40 moves, no ? (insane XD)

That sure is neat tho. Congrats.
