ive done it several times. after i type it all out, i think about the consequences so i delete it. i dont want to hurt the persons feelings or just dont feel its worth saying.

Sometimes if I can't word things exactly or if I realize that I'm responding to/egging on an idiot. I usually don't completely finished with my post before deleting it in those cases, but I start posts and don't finish them from time to time.

This is a definite yes for me. Kind of strange how it works - maybe we're subconsciously embarrassed of what people might think of our responses? Who knows...but I do it too.
