So my friend Bob decided to get a credit card a few months ago. Well, about two days ago he lost his wallet. The wallet had all his info, drivers license, social security card, his debit and credit cards. This guy didn't call his banks to report his lost wallet or anything. He said we live in Utah most people will call to return it. I just had to laugh at him for his stupidity. Well seems like he hasn't had a bill in a long time. Finally calls his credit place and he's 10k in debt. I guess someone changed the billing address. How the hell do they do that? Knowing this makes me not want a credit card. Pretty scary...

Re: Credit Cards Suck
Credit Cards are just a simple way to get in debt fast unless you're filthy stinkin rich and you make at least 100x's the amount of money the credit card company charges you. You might as well take a loan from the bank that you know you can't repay. My Wii Number is :1400 3149 4401 2038 add me.
If practice makes perfect, but no one has reached perfection, then why the hell practice?

Re: Credit Cards Suck
Losing a credit card is one thing. Most companies have fraud protection and will call you before they allow something fishy.
Losing your credit card and all your relevant personal information is a different thing.
Tell your friend he's an idiot. I'm pretty optimistic about people and generally believe in them more than not, but I'm not stupid enough to not at least tell my credit card companies that I've lost my card and to not allow any activity whatsoever on it.

Re: Credit Cards Suck
Well, if he lost his wallet I'll assume his driver's license was in there too. All you need to change the billing address is the current address.
Credit cards aren't scary if you have the slightest bit of common sense.
1. Don't spend more than you're capable of paying back.
2. If you have high APR, don't just pay the minimum every month.
3. Set up an online account so you can pay your bills and view your statements anytime you want.
Simple right?Comment
