Need help finding a good and free virus deleting software

A bit of a week ago my uncle got a bunch of spyware/adware etc and a trojan on my computer. I ran some programs my friend recommended but I still have a few things wrong, like 12 spyware infections and a trojan still. So what I'm asking is for a link to a really good virus scanner to remove the trojan and these few wares left, because I can't do anything, the windows go "out of phase" and I have to constantly click them, and 2-5 pop up's often appear and the backround changes.

So yeah, I need an excellent free virus scan software because my uncle is an idiot.

google the name of the ad removal program it tries to sell you and find out how to manually remove it

I would hightly recomend Windows Defender, especially for that trojan. Just Google it it will be the first one. It's by microsoft and it's free.
I would also highly recomend downloading Spybot. It's excellent especially for spyware. It's a free download.

Start in safe mode and run Spybot, AVG Free and the Ewido trial.

I've tryed Spybot already and it greatly helped, 450 infections to ~15 but didn't let AVG scan all the way, was taking too long. I'll try Ewido and Windows Defender next. Thanks again guys

Ad-Aware.
It's made by lavasoft. Easy to use, really effective. Works better than spybot for me and doesn't kill my cpu. i think this is the correct link: http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html

AVG Should only take like 40 mins to an hour depending on how many files you uncles got on his computer. When I last ran it, I had like 200,000+ files and it took about 40mins.

Here's 2 ways how to solve your problem:

You could either:
A) Destroy that computer and spend a crapload of cash getting a new one or
B) Spend a hell of an amount money buying the best virus protector out there.

Either way other than the "cheap" ways it sucks.

Ok, just updating on my problem and it is good. My computer is fixed. I followed Snowcrafta's advice and seems that Ultimate Defender spyware was the only problem left, but I'll keep the rest in mind incase I get different spyware in the future.

Nortons odd coding lets some spyware in actually, my computer tech teacher explained it once.
AVG or Avast are the best out there lately.
