Too bad it wasn't 10,000 or we'd have to make an epic post saying, "It's over 9000!". >.>

My perfect year of birth: 1953 (surprisingly the year my mom was born)

Too young to be drafted for Nam, but young enough to be able to experience the music of the 60's and 70's as a young person (Led Zeppelin esp.), go to San Francisco, etc. Plus old enough to die before the world goes to complete ****.

            The 90's were amazing.

If I could see it in a matter of days, I'd go back to the 80's.

            Good music, decent fashion, drugs.......

Re: Which era would you prefer to live in?

Ok, I'll start by answering the thread.
I rather just stay here, I know it fairly well, and I love being here. Of course, if I have to pick, I would want to live in the 1950s--let's make my birthyear 1942. If I had the choice of time travel, I'll pick a week in the 40s, then the 50s, then the 60s, up to my time. I might even drop by the 30s hehe

Why the 30's? - Lucielle Ball,
Anyone OTHER then me get that? Lucy started in radio in the 40s iirc. I have some of her early stuff on tape. if it was the 30s, it was laaaaate 30s

I'm just fine living in this era. We're all experiencing things nobody could have experienced before by being in this type of climate, and it's what makes us who we are. I wouldn't trade that in for anything. Unless it involved actual time-travel, in which case I'd do it in the interest of science
Agreed, but not for science >__>

Re: Which era would you prefer to live in?

                      Well, lets see...

The middle ages would suck, because I would probably end up getting executed.

Going back to Jesus' time would blow, because I would probably get crucified.

Going back to any time before the 50's would be lame, because I don't like things before that time period.

Going into the future would be scary, because we don't know what the future holds.

Going back to B.C. times would be gay, because it's B.C. Unless we are referring to British Columbia.

The 70's were boring, and the 80's were overrated. Okay, but the 80's had the best music.

I guess that leaves the 50's and 60's... Naw.

Honestly, no time period sounds more appealing to me then right now, but if I HAD to choose...

                      ...

Yeah I would Agree with MixMasterLar I would stay here cause as far as i'm concerned we have enough technology to be safe like if we got shot in 1970 or under we would probably die a lil bit after words...

                        (did i spell that right?)

How terribly naive of you. What exactly do you mean when you say that you "don't like things from the 50's and under"? Do you not like cars? Or radios? Or television? All of those things were from the 50's and lower.

And that ends my super-epic-genius-deluxe post.

Just make sure you are using the proper protection, because then it can become VERY, VERY GOD DAMN UNECONOMICAL if she pops a baby 9 months down the road.
