How do you rank band geekness?

It depends on how much you practice, how early you pick up your music for field show, how many instruments you practice, how terminologically correct you need to be for all band related things and...

If you play tuba and for some reason you seem to enjoy it and you're the only in summer school that plays it for symphonic band there even though you don't belong in that band...

That's pretty much just how it goes... but if you hit that last one... then... that's pretty damn bad

Well you'd think that harp is a string instrument but its really not.. sooo whack.

So I'm kinda a weird one, but I play cello too so its all good.

Justin beats me in all fields, except the tuba one, but I don't have a dream to become a band director, take private lessons, jump at every opportunity that is band related, show off my music at any chance, attempt to play multiple instruments at once, try to play every instrument in the band, buy a bazillion accessories for my instrument, and intend to buy $10,000 bassoon.

Aside from that, that means I am more BG then Shelly... but, then again, I only took 1 band class, play 1 instrument well, and don't have anything hinting to anyone on here that I even play an instrument.

and dont be mean cuz our section leader passed out music.

Well, actually maybe someone can. All you have to do is play multiple instruments, join every single band possible, name every single instrument you play, make your own music for others and yourself to play, practice every single day for 6 hours each day, and you have to be better at playing all the instruments better than justin.

That's all you need to do to become the number one band geek and surpass justin.

All you have to do is play multiple instruments, join every single band possible, name every single instrument you play, make your own music for others and yourself to play, practice every single day for 6 hours each day, and you have to be better at playing all the instruments better than justin.

That's all you need to do to become the number one band geek and surpass justin.

ohi I don't know this Justin person, but I already do all of that.

I play alto sax, clarinet and oboe, and soon might be learning the flute. I practice 3 hours a day at the least and spend more time composing (up to 12 hours composing per day, would be more if I didn't have stuff to do like marching band).
