I actually did this just because I was bored and I had just finished the book. Maybe, after a few changes, I will give this to my teacher (for extra cred, I don't know).

In that case you'd be better off writing it as a book review rather than a book report, at which point the specific details of the plot become even less important (Sorry Guido) and a more robust and proper description of the themes and overarching motif becomes even more vital.

Remember, while a book -report- will contain a synopsis (If just to prove you read the book) something of this length is better cast as a review (Which are generally 100-200 words at most) wherein you are trying to get people to either read the book or never read the book, and in either case, giving away plot details works counter to that purpose, where a description of...I guess...how the book it about, rather than what the book is about.

Another thing: Short. Choppy. Sentences. Turn a pair of short sentences into a complex one, provided they're related (be sure to note devonin's comment about unrelated sentences next to each other).

If I had the choice, I would've either written a report on Desperation, or It, both by Stepehn King, I love his works.

Lastly: listen to everyone else's suggestions. Except for magirocker's where he says using a colon there would be appropriate. Don't do that. A period or a semicolon would be fine, but not a colon.

I retract my earlier statement. You are indeed correct that a colon could be used there. I had never seen it be used that way before.

Desperation was just creepy weird (loved it) and I am halfway through It at the moment.
Rose Madder was definitely worth reading, and The Green Mile is the best piece of work he has ever made.
