My 9th grade dance was the shittiest thing I have ever witnessed. Some insanely stupid person high up (read:retarded) thought it would be fun to have a disco theme. I kid you not. Of course, they didn't tell us it would be disco (well, they did, but I wasn't listening and didn't know). Their slogan was something like:

Slick back your hair, put on your jeans and T-shirt, and come have a jingle-bell-rockin' good time at the 9th grade Disco Dance!

The low moment of the night was when they were playing 'Twist and Shout'. My friends and I were all standing in a corner, waiting for the nightmare to end, when some stupid kid who had dressed up for the occasion (50's style clothes and all) and thought he was totally hardcore ran up to us, yells 'Come on, guys! Twist and Shout!' then proceeds to grind with himself right in front of us while we looked on in disgust.

Let's say I'm glad I knew better than to bring a date.
