Another Donation Drive for the Troops

One day when my mom was out at the barn, she was talking to a soldier who returned from Iraq on a 12 day leave. Through talking to him, she found out that what the troops want most in Iraq is ball caps and tennis shoes. So here's where I'm asking for your help. I would like you to send my your gently used tennis shoes and hats, and when i get a few boxes full of them, I'll send them to this person over in Iraq where he will distribute them to the soldiers. He also says he'll take pics of the soldiers with their new goods. So please, brighten up a soldiers day and donate shoes and hats.

Also, don't believe everything you hear on the news. According to him, the Iraqi civilians really like the soldiers over there helping them out.

For any information regarding this pm me or contact me through AIM at vaitikaaria

    thank you.

I'm not sure if FFR would care, or would know how to easily get in touch with you.

Also, SOME civilians may like our soldiers, but stats are showing that many more civilians want U.S. troops to go home.

i know that, but im talking about the iraqi civilians. now since i didn't actually talk to this guy, all i know is that he said the iraqi people that aren't killing us really like us being there.

          (btw that's a paraphrase)

EDIT- i left my sn for anyone who would like to help

Strange, it seems to me that all the news talks about is how the Iraqi civilians love the soldiers. Guess that means they really hate them then?

On another note, I don't have anything I can donate personally, but I'll see if I can get my school (the only all-NJROTC public school in the United States) to do something. Though, there's only a week left so I don't know how effective that'll be.

You should probably look up USO drives or something. They probably even have resources for people who want to collect something to send overseas.

Or, at the risk of sounding sort of paranoid, you should at least restrict your charity efforts to your hometown, rather than give your address out to a bunch of strangers.
