I challenge you all to a trumpet-off. Just kidding. I play trumpet (8th grade) and if you call conductor an instrument, I can take music from actual songs and put it into written music for all instruments.

Then i remembered i found the package last night while drunk and put it on in excitement, then immediately passed out.

In fourth and fifth grade I played the Trumpet in band, but I didn't understand good music at the time so I was never really interested in band. I regret not staying in band throughout 6th, 7th, and 8th grade now because I can hardly read music, and I play the Keyboard and love it. Had I stayed in band, my music-reading skills would be much better.
Same here man. In fourth grade, all the saxes were altos except one. I got the only tenor. Of course I was little then and when the thing was in its case it was almost as tall as I was when I stood it up on end. Apparently I was pretty good at it too for my age but I decided I wasn't interested anymore after a few months for a few reasons. For one, the music teacher wasn't very good; for some reason he made me keep a copy of the sheet music for both tenor and alto sax though they're in different keys. This was probably because he wanted me to know what the difference was between their part and mine, but I was always confused on what I was supposed to be playing. I remember making a lot of ghastly squeaks at the concert and I just thought I didn't want to be a fifth wheel for everyone(even though it's perfectly ok to be bad at that age, I didn't know that).
I really wish I had kept doing it though, I just got back into it Freshman year and it's my favorite class. I still play a tenor, although I like it a lot more than I did when I was ten.
I also play a little bit of guitar. I used to take lessons but I had to quit lessons because I wanted to join the soccer team and it kept conflicting. I plan on starting again once the baseball season ends though. I'd also like to learn to play a piano.
