    Check what got built down the road.

    I love skateboarding. I haven't skated for a while because of health issues I won't go into but I'm back into it now. Just when I was thinking, "Oh, I can skate again now" this gets built. How awesome is that. It's such a nice park as well, can't fault it. Me and my mates have been hammering it all day.

    Edit: Check it out. A little clip of me down there. Not bad seeing as I haven't skated for about a year.

      It's been a good six years since I've skated. When they built the one in our area, you had to file at the city office to be able to skate at my local park. It was basically a liability waiver and they gave you a wristband. If you were caught skating at the park without a wristband, you were given a ticket and a fine. So, yeah, they were uber paranoid about it at the time.

          As long as the park has a sign saying, "Wear a helmet!" and the park passes the health and safety check its fine. The park passed both conditions. It's such a nice park. The ramps are amazing quality (The materials it's made from and the build), the lines are amazing (lines as in a run, for example down the flatbank, up then down the box and finish off with a flat rail), The ground is smooth tarmac and it's big enough to hold a lot of people without the park being cramped.

          Well it's only the first day but so far, the parks brilliant. I've skated a fair few parks in my time as well. Skateboarding was a huge hobby of mine and it's going to be again this summer! XD

              That looks like what "my" "local" park would look like if it was nice. Only picture I can find out it. To the right of that perspective is a miniramp and a few tiny qp and a tiny spine and a little silly box and a bunch of stupid-ass parking blocks for grinding or something.

              I was never into parks really anyway. Hell, I was never into stairs either. I'm more of a "screw around on flat ground" type of guy. I never was very good either.

              EDIT: rofl I forgot about this closer park. I never went there much with my friends though. It's mostly a pool with a few slants and things around the outside of it.

                  Havn't skated in years, I had to quit cause I fractured my ankle playing soccer one day. Never went back to it after that..4 years now at least.

                          Meh, I'm just into boarding in general, in parks or on the streets or whatever. I'm just chuffed we got a park. I mean they're rare in South Wales. I've never skated a snake run though, always wanted to. I've never skated a concrete bowl either. Only a lame wooden one 3 hours drive from me.

                              Looks pretty sweet. I haven't been able to skate for a while, but now some of my brothers are trying to learn so I'm teaching them the basics and I get to mess around a little too. Its not like the old days, but atleast its something.

                                              It has a half pipe. It's what Im standing on in the first two pictures.



                                              See that flatbank and two quater pipes. They transfer into the half Pipe.

                                              Although it's more a mini ramp it is still a half pipe.

                                                  Instead, I've beaten every goal in Tony Hawk 4 and UG without cheats. I have blisters on my thumbs.

                                                          The skatepark around me got shut down because the guy who owned it go busted for selling cocaine from it. Then I quit skateboarding.
