HALP!! I can't drag anything.

One day last week I was playing FFR and got pissed off at a song and mashed the keyboard to hell. Ever since then, I haven't been able to 1) click and drag files into new locations (I can physically drag them, it's just when I release the mouse button they don't move) and 2) I can't click with my middle mouse button anymore.

I've tried restarting, system restore, removing all recently downloaded programs in case it was a program error, pressed damn near every combination on the keyboard, nothing works. Has anyone else had this problem and/or know how it might be solved? It's driving me crazy having to cut and paste things to move them.

This may work.
Go to control panel,
Click "Printers and other hardware"
Click "Mouse"

Now scroll through the options, and tabs to see if anything in there, can fix your problem.

Also, right click your dekstop, and scroll your mouse over "Arrange Icons By".

Make sure you dont have "Auto Arrange", or any of the first 4 options checked.

Possible coincidence? Middle mouse button may be the mouse itself. Try replacing the mouse and keyboard. Otherwise, I'm not sure of a solution.

Well I don't see how mashing your keyboard would hurt your mouse, but replacing both is your best bet.

You might need to go in your "security settings" to see if that feature is disabled by mistake.

PS: It happened to me once I saw I couldn't drag/copy and paste anything.
