Yes BUT also, theres no music player in the menu, and his menu looks slightly different.

Also, I just tried it, and I cannot get my wiimote sensitivity that low.

Did I miss something? Since when is SMW available in Virtual Console? If it's fake, it's a damn good fake.

However, I do have trouble believing that the Wii OS would be as easily broken as that. I don't know. I guess I'll reserve my judgment for now.

Oh wait. These channels aren't right. Is it even possible to remove the default channels from a Wii?

EDIT: Ok I think I understand. He compiled an emulator with a UI that makes it look a lot like the Wii interface. Using the Wiimote on the computer isn't anything new either, so that's easily possible.

EDIT*2: yeah it's definitely not the Wiimote that is moving the curser around the screen. It's pretty obvious when he runs MarioKart64... they move the Wiimote somewhat erratically, yet the curser on the screen remains still.

EDIT*pi: Ok... when he goes through pages of channels, the image of the left and right arrows lack transparency. I am 100% sure that the wii does not look like garbage like that. Ok yeah... I'm going with the "it's just an emulator (or collection of emulators) compiled to look like the Wii interface".

Yeah, just noticed how he pauses once while moving the cursor down like he needed to lift the mouse. Definitely with a mouse.

Looks like a frontend for a bunch of emulators to me. I don't know what you guys are dropping bombs about. In the description he doesn't claim that it's the Wii Os, that's just the name of the program. It looks cool and I would probably use it if he released it.

Actually, I talked to the guy, and he says he doesnt have a wii, becuase He cant afford it.

He got a wiimote, and just edited the GUI of the "main screen", and its basically just a "emulator". He cannot release it as he used Nintendo's Music, and roms, which are both illegal.

I believe that it IS REAL, because he explained the GUI in depth and coding, but I dont feel like copying and pasting.

I think its real, maybe not 100% real, but still real.

It's just a GUI, really. Even I got that from the first time watching it.

All it does is organize his roms in a Wii-like fashion. Once he opens the rom, he probably has some program recognizing Wii button presses as keyboard controls (such as Joy2Key), which have been out for years. This is really nothing new at all.

If it actually played Wii games and had the Weather and News and Mii and the other channels, then it might be worth looking into. As it is, it's just a rom organizer.

Why are people like "It's fake! It's real! It's cracked!"

Ummmm it's just a front-end for some emulators. It's nice though.

It can't be "fake". It exists. You saw it. He made it. It's there. How can it be fake?

Fake as in, actually being the Wii on a PC.

Oh. I can assure you, its REAL.
I have it sitting on my desktop right now, but for I signed a NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement), that disallows me to tell stuff thats not released to the public.

Some notes though: Only runs in 800x600
                    Non Customizable,
Cant play games, only Roms. (I dont think the roms are included, so I have to download them)
Also he was using the Wiimote, he was just using GlovePIE, and a bluetooth reciever.

Check it out guys, I made a video about it.

Sorry about my Camera Skills, its VERY hard to hold onto a Camera thats smaller than a zippo, that has a small USB cord, and no view finder, and its next to impossible to see where IM pointing the camera.
