Yeah, what can I say, win or lose, this was pretty much college football at its finest. ESPN Sportscenter is going to be all over this one. The play to get into overtime WILL be on the Top 10 plays, perhaps number 1. ugh...what a comeback by Oklahoma though, i still dont believe we lost to a two pt. conversion...
That's not entirely true. Young was a great QB there, but you have to give some props to the recievers and the RBs. How about Young's performance with the Titans though, this guy (for a rookie) is pretty impressive. What's amazing to me is the fact that young averages a yard more ypr (yards per rush) than Reggie Bush. Crazy, huh?
EDIT: How exactly do you pronounce "tortilla" dancingmaniac3?
Aha, missed a good one Tass. Don't you wish you were still a Toys R Us kid?
And Young may have been the leading factor as to why Texas was number 2 last year, but he wasn't the WHOLE team. The reason Texas won in the first place was their defense. If it wasn't for stopping USC on the 4th and 1 late in the 4th quarter, Texas would not have had the chance to score offensively again. Sure, Young single handedly scored for Texas in the 4th, but that's because no one else could. Hell, if you want something done right, do it yourself. Plus, that doesn't mean that he's the only guy on the team to make Texas great, that just means that he's an all-around athlete with the abilities to dominate in the air and on the ground, and he did nothing but merely exercise those traits in the game.
The sad thing is, Texas is nowhere near as good due to him leaving, but they're still a great team without him. McCoy isn't exactly a terrible quarterback either. Give him a couple years and he'll be the next Peyton Manning for all we know.
Edit: btw, its pronounced "THOR-THEE-YA"
Edit 2: The hook+lateral play was number 2 on the top ten. Number 1 was the 2 point conversion. I think it should have been switched, but they can't put a 2 point conversion before the actual touchdown.
It was 14-0 Boise State when I left to see a movie, and right when I got back home, the game was going into overtime. I'm really not surprised BSU won.
Assuming OSU wins on Monday, there should be a +1 game.
