I was wondering whether I was the only one putting my entire arms in ice water to prevent cramps while playing ffr, idk about you guys, but one runthru of FotBB messes my wrist up pretty badly and i feel like **** for the next hour or so. If anyone else has this problem, relate to the "icing" method, it works.

Then your hands get all cold (obivously) and you can't move your fingers as fast. Maybe follow up the icing with some heat, like a warm towel or one of those icy-hot patch things.Comment

I know I used to have to massage out the top of my forearm (uhm.. I think that's what it's called). Where all the finger nerves are.

i'm 22 and have arthritis in my left hand, 2nd and 3rd ginglymus joints, specifically in my middle and ring fingers... but it has nothing to do with FFR. and i've never even contemplated putting my hand in ice. i could play FFR for hours with few breaks and not have much more trouble than sore shoulders... hands would be fine.
Think my SM marathon record was about 3 hours straight.RIPComment

Don't do this with dry ice, though.
I know so many kids that died thinking it would help them ice down their sore wrists faster.
