Alright this might be long so be prepared to read...
Alright to start off this review we go to the night before..
Thursday 11/06: School today.. boring.. got home around 4 pm, got online.. started messing around.. till about 6 pm.. called friends to get everything ironed out for the trip to VA beach the next day. My ride to Va beach was putting a lot of stress on us by declaring that he wouldn't know if he could go yet, because he was owed money by someone that hadn't paid him yet.. So i got word from him that at around 3:20 pm friday he would have the money. So on with the day i went.. just messing around wasting time until i went to sleep.. sleep came a 3 am friday morning
Friday 11/07: woke up at around 7:30 am.. I found that no one was at my house... so basically it turned into a student holiday for me.. I got online to see if any other weird things had happened to people i talked to.. there wasn't any.. So alone i was. Until around 3:40 when i called richard (guy that wasn't sure if he was going or not), he informed me that he couldn't get the money till around 6pm because some stuff had come up.. so again the drama continued.. around 4:00pm henry got online (one of the guys in our group that was going) i told him about the situation with richard and he informed me that one of the other guys that was going with us decided to drive instead of ride so we didn't have to worry about richard anymore. So stress over that stopped. It was around 5:30 pm.. and had yet to pack anything or taken a shower to get ready for the con. So i started rushing to get rdy to go to henry's house. I got to henrys around 6:10, and just like on all my others trips i started remembering stuff i had forgot to bring.. (ex. pillow, blanket, towel, and badges from previous cons that i had attended).. so we were waiting at his house for brandon, phil, jen, bonnie, and chris to arrive, which was supposed to happen at t around 6:30. So when 7:30 rolls around.. were in mass confusion about what's going on.. finally they come around.. and come to find out that brandon had class until 6pm for college and he still had to get his stuff together for the con.. so no big deal.. after we choose riding teams we were on our way... It was brandon driving, henry shotgun, and me, chris , and bonnie in the back seat... which was good because i wanted to sit with them anyway because i love messing with chris about his girl friend.. just because he’s to protective about her and he doesn’t really care but pretends like he does i guess to “protect” her, then there was phil driving, jen shotgun, and scott back seat in the other car. We got to the con at about 9pm. We got our pre-registerd badges and left to go find a hotel.. we checked about 2 or 3 before finding a best western to stay at.. So we dropped our stuff off and went back to the con.. we got to the con again around 10:30 just to find out the game room was closed to anyone that wasn’t staff or had a “special badge”.. so we started talking to the guy guarding to door and found out that was a pro wrestler in training at VWF, and he actually had some nice looking punches..we (me and henry, the other had already left this spot and started roaming the halls looking for parties to crash) started watching the door, and “handling” all the kids who thought they could go into the game room.. nothing is better than being superior to the unknowing,we hung out with him for about an hour, then that got boring so we went walking around talking to all the people we knew from richmond and past friends that we had made from previous cons. We checked out the art gallery, and the movie rooms, nothing cool was playing, so we just went into the lobby and sat down, staring at all the cos plays(cos play is short for costume play, that's were people dress up like there favorite or just any cool looking anime character, some actually do a good job at it.. some just need to stop trying.. because i never knew ryu (from street fighter) to were new balances... anyway.. it was about 11:40 and we left the con to go look for Mt. Trashmore to see if we could skate at there skate park. we found trashmore but no skate park... we decided it was best to just go back to the con and go back during the day. We went back into to lobby and chilled again till around 3:30 am.. then we went into the movie room and watched some AMV (anime music videos) some funny (metal pron solid) some dumb, (random song with random dancing anime people in the background not really on synch).. all in all it was fun, then at around 3:45 they started showing a movie about something.. i wasn't paying attention, i was more tired really.. so i just put three chairs together and fell asleep...
Saturday 11/08: This morning i was woken up around 6:30 am by the force of someone hitting me in the head with a brochure of some type..after the immediate sitting up about to whoop some ass common ritual was performed i realized it was just chris.. letting me know that they were serving free coffee in the diner.. so i woke up henry .. and scott.. and we went and got some.. after i dumped my 6 creamers and 12 sugars into my coffee it was a a good wake up medicine.. we hung out there for a little while we left to go back to the hotel room to take showers and do all the usual morning things.. we got to the hotel to see phil and jen still sleeping after they left the con around 11:20 pm on friday (lazy ass people) we took showers and played DWI while we waited for everyone else to finish taking theres... both of the drivers in the group fell asleep and we were told to wake one of them up at 11:30.. so me, henry, and scott walked out in search of a place to eat.. we decided on bojangles because it was better than denny’s and closer than Wendy's... we each got one of our own 8 piece chicken wings things, which was in a tangy sauce which was pretty good.. we went back to the hotel room to find chris and bonnie playing dwi and wondering were we went (we originally told them denny’s because it was the only thing we could see from our hotel window).. we told them and gave them our left overs.. which between the 3 of us was about 8 - 10 wings... we woke brandon up at around 11:15.. and lied and said it was 11:30.. because we got tired of waiting.. he got up took a shower.. phil and jen got up took there showers.. and we left to go to the skate park at Mt. Trashmore, when we got there.. around 12:30... we found out that you had to have a helmet to get in the park.. which none of us had.. so we sat and watched people crash for about 10 minutes.. then back to sit in the car cause it was too cold outside... scott and phil went out and borrowed peoples helmets so they could skate... scott ended up cracking one guys helmet but the guy was cool about it and just put some stickers over the crack to cover it up.. we left the park and went back to the con around 2 pm. We went to the arcade.. i played ddr on namco’s pads.. which i’ve heard to be real sweet.. but i guess nobody put up the weight limit/no stoping sign beside the pads.. because they weren’t in the greatest shape.. but still was fun..The arcade was really hot and smelt like sweaty armpits, then i had to whoop everyones ass in super smash brothers melee.. just to say samus is the best... anyway.. after that.. i just chilled in there not doing anything just watching people play games, mostly for guilty gear X, and battle toads.. there was an actual award for anyone who beat battle toads got $50, i don't think anyone did it.. anyway.. i went back and went to the 4th floor with scott sat on the railing to the balcony and just chilled and talked and watched all the people walking around... then we decided to floor hop on the elevator.. so we did that and found some interesting people.. we found a group of girls hanging out on the 5th floor so we just had to pimp that and we got two of them to come with us on our floor hopping extravaganza... we pimped that for about 20 minutes and decided they weren’t the best for us so we left... and chilled back on the 4th floor balcony.. this was later called the “hang out spot”.. because if you were looking for one of us and we weren’t in the game room.. we were probably up there... so we did that.. forever.. just basically walking around.. and chilling all night.. we walked a nd looked for parties to crash.. there weren’t any.. we waited till like 11:00pm.. that's when the rave started.. you walk into the room with the rave and it was pretty big... sweet music playing (techno, trance, ect..), just regular rave music... and everything was going sweet.. UNTIL!!!!... we heard an announcement from the D.j that you couldn’t form circles anymore.. and you weren’t aloud to break dance, and no swinging glow sticks, and no orbits.. WTF is that crap.. what kind of rave is it with none of that stuff.. gay.. so we hung out there for like another 20 minutes.. and left.. we went walking the halls in search of another party.. when we came across this guy named TJ... he asked us if there was any steps to the roof... first i thought he wanted to kill himself.. but then he explained.. he was looking to get on the roof so he could see if it was a smooth surface or not, he wanted to know this because he wanted to get a bunch of people together to go up there and break dance because the rave was so gay.. This is when he told us why they stopped doing all those things.. The reason that there was no more swinging glowsticks is because some guy hit himself in the face while doing.. i was there when it happened.. yea he hit himself.. but no he wasn’t hurt.. he hit himself and laughed about it.. The reason for no circles and no more break dancing is because some guy dressed up as lupin the 3rd (just like at the last 2 conventions i had seen him at) was doing his gay liquid crap when some pro breakers came in and were about to do a certain move of theres that the staff guy knew about (this staff guy was TJ) so he pulled lupin out the way so he wouldn’t get kicked.. but it ended up going the opposite direction.. so the guy got all pissed off and went to the manager of the rave and told him that the break dancer were messing it up for all the regular people or something like that.. so they stopped us... which is so gay.. well anyway.. we walked around with him for a little bit looking for access to the roof... then went went back down to the lobby level.. and talked for a little longer.. then we said our good byes.. and walked over to the couch in the lobby and sat down and chilled again.. then i went floor hoping some more.. and went back to floor 4 to chill by myself.. brandon.. scott.. henry then came up stairs and asked if i wanted to leave with them.. i was like no.. because if i would of left i would of had to sleep on the floor at the hotel room.. and the floor isn’t better than three chairs in the movie room.. so i went back down stairs with them and sat on the couch after these people got up and just chilled.. it was around 2 am and i feel asleep sitting straight on the couch... when i woke at like 3 henry, scott weren't in there chairs weren't in there chairs and some black guy was talking to me. I asked him were the two guys were that were sitting in the chairs.. he told me how they left.. which sucked.. because now i was very bored at a con with nothing to do in the morning at like 3 am.. so i went to the movie room and sat down in there but i couldn't do the 3 chairs thing cause there was this staff guy watching to make sure no one fell asleep. after about 5-10 minutes of being bored in there.. i left to go back to the couch.. but on my return i saw someone sitting there already.. so i sat in the chair directly across from the couch.. then the girl on the couch said “looks like some needs a hug”.. i looked up at her and was “yea i do”.. this girl was very cute.. had this pink and blue makeup on coming off her eyes which was very cute.. and was the perfect height for me.. i found out that she had been locked out of her room because everyone was like passed out or something.. anyway we started talking.. and then we walked to the second video room.. to hang.. she soon fell asleep on my shoulder, and we couldn’t find a comfortable position so every 5 - 10 mintues we would change how we were sitting.. so after 3 episodes of some anime.. we left that room and went to video one.. which wasn't as cold... we only hung in there for a little while.. then we left and talked to this guy about getting her a room.. so we followed him to a room.. when we walked in it was almost pitch black and it looked like there was nobody there.. but come to find out there was about 5 or 6 people already in there.. so we laid down in between two beds.. snuggled up together.. and went to sleep... ( atleast that's the version of the story your getting : ) ) we went to sleep around 6 am..
Sunday 11/09: We got woken up around 7 am by someguy telling us we had to leave.. so we left.. went down stairs.. noticed the rave was still going on but now with just drunk people playing sing along to captain jack.. and even doing melody chants to songs with no words.. it was funny watching...after that.. we walked up the street and went to 7-11 so she could get some hot chocolate with LOTS of mini marshmellows..... we left there and walked back to the lobby and sat down in the chairs... and just talked she decided she wanted to change clothes.. so we went to her hotel room hoping someone was up and there was.. so i sat down and watched her change.. which was another great part of my day.. then put on make up.. then after that we walked back to the first floor and i sat back down in my chair and she sat on my lap.. and we just watched all the cos play people show up and get there pictures taken... then one of the girls that had gotten her picture taken left her pass down stairs.. so we started walking around looking for her.. we finally found her on the 3rd floor.. so we gave it back and wa waiting to get on the elevator.. when the doors opened out walked the rest of my group.. chris, brandon, bonnie, and scott.. they wanted me to go with them back to the hotel so they could pack up everything and and check out by 11.. so i just gave them the card and told them to get my shit.. so i could stay with jessica (name of the girl i had spent the whole night with) so we just walked around.. and went to the stairs on the first floor and chilled down there to have privacy.. We talked for a little bit longer, she gave me a charm of a digit charat character, her aim s/n, and her live journal name so i could keep in touch with her. Then we went our separate ways. I went and found my friends again, and they were ready to leave so we did.. then the journey home commenced. On the way home we decided we would stop and get some food.. so we went to the Hong Kong Buffet, at $12.50 a person, and i had about 4 plates of food and dessert, im guessing it was a good deal... After the meal we went to chris’s house where I awaited my ride home. I got home some time between 7 and 8 pm, i got on the computer for a little bit adding jessica to my buddy list, got on here to see what was new, then went to my room... I laid down to watch t.v. when my brother walked in and asked if i wanted some food from Wendy's, i said sure, and i really didn't care what i got, but all i know is when i got my food I ate my burger threw away the wrapper, laid my head down for a second and fell asleep.. with fries still on my bed....
I Told yall this was going to be long, all in all it was a good weekend, lots of fun, and i would surely do it all over again.. which i probably will in February when katsucon comes to arlington..
