HS Football State Finals

I went to my school's state semifinal game tonight. Blue Spring South HS (My school) versus some school in Jefferson City MO. They had a 70 win, win streak before this season, so I thought they'd be a really good team. My school destroyed them, 42 to 7. 35 to 7 at half time. Missouri state finals are next Friday in St. Louis.

I'll be going down to St. Louis next Friday, and might stay until Saturday night or something, I'm not sure. Anyone in the STL area who would want to hang out for a few hours at an arcade or something?

I used to live in St. Louis. Then I moved to Las Vegas, NV. It sucks.

I go to Eden Prairie High School here in Minnesota. My schools football team is ranked 13th in the Nation. Our record is 12-0 overall and 7-0 in our conference/league. Our state finals are tomorrow at the Metrodome downtown in Minneapolis.

We'll see how it turns out, I hope we win..

Funny you should mention going so far in the high school level of competition...I've attended not one, but two schools that advanced far enough to play on neutral ground.

My freshman year, Brookfield Central got to the state finals (I think my commemorative towel and foam football are in my room somewhere...) but lost at Camp Randall Stadium...I forget who beat us.

Senior year was much different. New state, new team, still managed success. Bloomfield Hills Lahser (it's pronounced LAH-sur) went 9-0 with 5 shutouts. We happened to meet the very same team that we just acquired the "Sword" (a traveling trophy similar to Paul Bunyan's Axe or the Little Brown Jug) from in the first round and beat them again. Second round, one guy on the soccer team who just came back from a loss in the state final booted an insurance field goal that proved to be the difference, and we advanced to the state semifinal on a blocked extra point in double overtime (I distinctly remember being part of the mob that rushed onto the field after that) before getting squashed 42-7 by DeWitt.
