THE Ohio State Buckeyes vs Michigan Wolverines

This is by far the biggest game of year. The first time ever that OSU and Michigan have played each other as #1 and #2 in the nation. Both teams are 11-0 and 7-0 in the Big Ten. The winner will play win the Big Ten outright, and more importantly go to the Nation Title Game. Is anyone going, or watching the game on Saturday? Is anyone jumping in Mirror Lake on Thursday? All I know is, Columbus is going to be absolutely crazy this week!

As of today, the spread was Michigan + 6 1/2 points. I wasn't expecting it to be that high, but I also wouldn't be surprised if OSU destroyed them.


On a side note, I really hope USC beats Cal on Saturday. That will setup the also huge game of Notre Dame vs USC.

F'uck OSU. X( Go UofM!! I've always been a UofM fan. They've been disappointing me over the past few years from time to time, but this year.... WOW! I can't f'ucking wait for the game. I wish it was in Ann Arbor though. Not because of the home advantage, but because the stadium and atmosphere there is f'ucking amazing.

I'm more hyped for this game than getting the Wii. O___O

For me, the perfect scenario would be:

Rutgers loses to WVU to make no Big East team undefeated. None of the 3 have a shot at Championship Game with 1 loss.
Cal beats USC to give them 2 losses and takes them out of consideration.
USC then beats Notre Dame to give them 2 losses.

That leaves Florida and Arkansas as the only valid 1 loss or 0 loss teams for the National Title BESIDES the loser of the OSU/Mich game. And one of those 2 teams has to lose in the SEC title game...

LSU beats Arkansas next week to give them a 2nd loss...
then Arkansas beats Florida in the SEC Title game.

Which would leave the loser of the OSU/Mich game as the ONLY valid team to play the winner in the BCS title game.


Unfortunately, every event listed above would have to go exactly as described for this to happen. Otherwise, the loser of the OSU/Mich will lose too much ground to surpass a USC, Florida, Arkansas, or Rutgers team that runs the table. I just can't bring myself to see Notre Dame make the title game, given how absolutely awful they've played for most of the season despite having a retardedly easy schedule, comparitively.

I would love to see a rematch. If OSU loses by a field goal or less, it could happen without all of those scenarios happening, but I wouldn't count on it.

I think that USC is going to end up beating Cal and Notre Dame and play OSU in the Championship game. I'd be okay with Notre Dame playing OSU, just because of the hype that will come with it, but Notre Dame has no chance.

Some of the tickets are selling for around 1,000 dollars, but most are around $500. Since many of the students are getting desperate, the price has dropped down to around $300 which is still a good amount.

No way will there be a blowout. Especially with Manningham in the line-up for Michigan, the Buckeyes better be ready to kiss the championship goodbye.

Since this game is such a big game in Michigan(obviously), the Marching Band is going to people's houses to play the OSU or Michigan fight song for $20 or something like that. We did the same thing for the U of M - MSU game and we didn't get home in time to watch the first quarter, I'm just hoping we get done soon enough this time before the game starts.

The legendary Michigan coach Bo Shembechler died today at the age of 77.

This unfortunate event has made the biggest college football game that much bigger. I really can not believe this happened.

I think that this will have a pretty big impact on the game. Being an OSU fan, I really think the Buckeyes need to prepare themselves at the beginning of the game. Michigan will come out with a ton of emotion. I stil believe that OSU will win, but they need to watch out.

The atmosphere in Columbus and The Shoe will be absolutely crazy.

So from what I hear, it's suicide to go down to OSU if you even so much as have a Michigan license plate. Some of the radio stations around here (just north of Detroit, about 45 minutes from Ann Arbor, where U of M is) have been talking about how vicious OSU fans are (ranging from unprovoked slurs against children to full out flipping cars with Michigan license plates.)

Football just isn't THAT important. Sometimes... people disappoint me. A lot.

Normally, I'm a Michigan State fan, but seeing as how their year is in the toilet, I'm tentatively assuming that the entire state is now rooting for U of M, at least for the purposes of this game.

Jim Tressel is 4-1 against Lloyd Carr, and they'll be playing in Columbus. I'm thinking OSU will win and then crush whomever they come up against in the national title game, just like they've done to everyone else this season. Still, I'm finding it can't hurt to add "Go Blue" whenever ending a conversation if you're on that side of the fence...at least until the game's over (if OSU wins) or until Michigan wins the national title.

If U of M loses then Shembechler will haunt the football team for the next 50 years and then they will claim that it's a curse until of course the exact same thing happens when U of M and OSU are #1 and #2 and we win in OT by a FG or something insane like that. Great game tonight. Praying for that U of M win.

Yea, it was a good game. I put 20 on it and I'm sad to say I'm now 20 bucks poorer. I managed to watch the last quarter while at work. I was so upset with their preformance at the end.
