      You're retarded.
Completely unrelated to the original topic but, the girl deserves to lose her life due to her parents being the careless ones?

      You're just as retarded.

Ok, so maybe selfish isn't exactly the right word. The concern or care isn't SOLELY on the self, it is just that the self comes first, and even seemingly selfless acts are done for the self firstly, rather than others.

Because I said I didn't care about nukes, and I said it was a good idea for them to be able to protect themselves. Others called me selfish, so I countered with something to effect of "everything everyone does is selfish, even selfless acts such as giving your life for another."

There's a difference between an act that gives self satisfaction, and an actual self benefit wether it be monetary or something else of the sort.

People are not benefiting when sacrificing their lives. They're dying. They might gain the self satisfaction of knowing that they protected another, but calling someone 'selfish' for that thought is retarded.

Why can't you differentiate between the two? I made this post out of my own will in hopes of proving a point, am I selfish for having the desire to do so?

Afro, you have to be joking about that "protect themselves" comment. I mean, using that logic, you think it's alright for everyone to arm themselves with high powered weapons. Sure, I've got an anti-tank rifle in my room and I'll be damned if they're going to take me alive. I'll take everyone with me if they try to stop me from breaking any kind of law.

Yup. That's good logic right there.

              Your brain is duck soup.

Mal, look at it from their perspective.

We invaded a middle east country for seemingly no other reason other than to "liberate the people." Obviously, they do not want to be invaded. How can they best ensure that we won't **** with them? Let us know that if we **** with them, we'll get ****ed up as well.

To believe that your own country is the only country which deserves to be able to protect itself is just silly.

And even if they were planning on attacking some weird-ass place that doesn't make any sense to hit, the chances of them choosing an area near me are so unlikely given the size of the country.

So, in conclusion, North Korea would have to be retarded to attack the US, and even if they did, I'd be safe anyway.

They'd kind of be doing us a favor. I mean, we all know that Politicians are nothing more that useless wind bags who behave like children once they've tasted the sweet taste of power.

The USA didn't 'invade for seemingly no reason'. They've had troops at the North/South Korean borders since after WWII. And if you don't know why, then do some research.

Right. And if we send in an invasionary force, their best retaliation is to end the world by starting a nuclear war.

You're totally right on all counts. That's the best defense.

they have about 1million ppl ready for war at any time.

That's not at all what I meant.

The fact that they have nuclear weapons will force the US to be at the very least diplomatic. I seriously doubt we'd forcefully invade a country that could **** up our west coast at the push of a button.

The instance of them dropping nukes on us won't happen so long as those in charge of the military aren't COMPLETELY retarded.
