This is just a way to get the world's attention. Do you think anyone actually paid attention to what Afghanistan would say or do and take them seriously before they got nuclear weapons? Having these weapons is just giving them more of a voice in the world and now they'll be taken more seriously. They can't hit any serious, as in government, buildings with these yet. They didn't develop these to fire at America, if they're planning on using them at all it's to use on South Korea.

Is this a threat? Yes, very much so, and this is the kind of attention they want. But it's not like other "hostile" countries don't have nuclear weapons either. Russia, Afghanistan, and soon Iran will all have "WMD's" but no one's used a nuclear warhead on another large scale country in years. There is world laws and agreements in place to try and prevent this sort of thing as much as possible. Though, yes a crazy maniacal asian man could pretty much open then world ending war, it probably won't happen for at least another ten years.

Even if North Korea was retarded enough to attack the US, they definitely wouldn't hit anywhere near where I live.

And even if they were planning on attacking some weird-ass place that doesn't make any sense to hit, the chances of them choosing an area near me are so unlikely given the size of the country.

So, in conclusion, North Korea would have to be retarded to attack the US, and even if they did, I'd be safe anyway.

I'm not sure how capable we are at shooting an ICBM out of the sky just yet. Our Patriot missile defense sure can't do it yet. I suppose it'd have to be from space, figuring they almost leave our atmosphere when they travel. Regardless, nothing will come of this other than N Korea getting a seat of power in the world.
