Serious answers only please...this isn't TGB.
My roommate is leaving at the end of October--she's moving in with her sugar-daddy boyfriend. This leaves one empty room and one empty bathroom on the main floor of our house (Tass and I sleep in the bedroom on the third floor, and we have our own bathroom up there; the first floor is an entry and some stairs only).
So what do we do with it? Tass wants to move the computers down there, but I like having my laptop near my bed and I know if he moves his computer downstairs I'd never ever see him again between his work, my school, and our respective computer-nerd tendencies.
I know I want to line the walls with bookshelves and move some of the overstock in from the living room (I've got shelves stacked 4 books deep and 2 high, in some places) but that leaves lots of emptiness in the middle, in the closet, etc.
I'm going to glossy up the bathroom down there as a guest bathroom so our guests don't have to trudge upstairs (and see my hideously messy bedroom on the way) and probably move the litterbox down there as well because it is loud and smelly.
I also thought of putting a cheap mattress or futon-thing in there, for when we have friends stay over so they're not on a floor...and our air mattress has holes in it anyway.
So now: Thoughts? Ideas? Decorating websites?
