Well when I took out $200 from the bank a couple weeks ago for stuff I had to pay for, the ATM printed out a receipt and it said I had 850 left. So apparently I amassed $1000 without noticing.
Note: I had only gotten my first job recently, and the ~150 from it pushed it up to the $1000 limit. I rarely put anything into savings, and my family isn't exactly well off, so I don't have a ton of money that gets put in there, I just don't take stuff out.
But I do have a bunch of bonds that will be mature by like, 2017, and they'll be a few thousand. It'll be nice when I can cash in all of those. XD
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
I had a cashier's check in my hand once for $42,000. I really wish I could have kept it...it was the down payment on my house though, so it went away REALLY FAST.
Most money I've ever PERSONALLY had was close to $6000, back when I didn't have to pay for anything myself and my dad liked to give me money for no reason.
One thousand and something dollars in the bank, and $100 "on hand" (my dad handles all the money, so its not exactly on hand...but it's an expression, right?) It's basically all birthday and holiday money. I never spend it, so it gets put in the bank and collects interest. No working for me! Well then again there's the fact that 1000 dollars won't get me anywhere in real life, so nevermind.
I've written a few five-figure checks as partial payment on tuition before, so I had that money in my account for a very brief period of time. Other than that, though, I've never had over 5K in my personal checking account.
