    DDR, a sport?

Is DDR a real sport? Just trying to find an opinion on this.

    Things to Consider:

    1) Chess and Bowling are a sport and so is Pool.

    2) Believe it or not, DDR is quite small...I mean the # of people who play it. Do you think this is true?

        Re: DDR, a sport?

DDR belongs in the E-sport category

It might become an offical sport later in the future though, it's not really impossible for that to happen.

They should show DDR tourneys on ESPN6.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Yup. Would be way more entertaining than watching 22 people kicking a ball

I still consider it a game because thinking of it as a sport sounds silly to me right now, but it wouldn't surprise me if it reached a 'sport' status at some point.

If you are talking about Curling, It is actually very challenging to do, as far as the accuracy goes anyway.

                  Re: DDR, a sport?

I heard somewhere that it already is a sport in some Scandanavian country.

                  Is this correct?

I guess so, but I want it to become an OFFICIAL sport. It would be cool if we can see it on ESPN.....sweet.

I think we should do something, if all the people from these forums can make something about it, you might get DDR as an official sport someday.
