I was having a family party at my house and my uncle ate my pie when I was gone...I smacked him in the nuts and made him get me more pie...Don't mess with a man's pie damnit!

You could call me a hopeless romantic, I guess.

I was on the phone with my dad while I brought groceries in from my car. I just set everything down on the floor and went back for what was left, and came back up just in time to see my dog jump away from one of the bags and slink off to the other side of my living room. She'd been in the bag that had the meat I'd picked up from the deli, chewed a little hole in the baggie the turkey was in, and there was a tiny piece missing from the slice of turkey closest to the plastic. I was never sure if she actually ate it (I'm certain she did) or if it had just fallen off when the person at the deli put it in the bag, but I certainly wasn't going to throw away a pound of sliced turkey just because of some dog germs. the piece she'd gotten was at the bottom of the stack of turkey, so when I got to that piece, I just gave it to her.

I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.
