Bundle of Joy by Michael Gettings

Another satire in the same vein as "Star Student".

    ---------------------------------------------------

    Bundle of Joy

    Page 1-2

Once upon a time, there was a very happy man and a very happy woman. One day, they got married!

    Page 3-4

Soon, they had a little baby boy. This made Mommy and Daddy very happy...

    Page 5-6

Until they had to move across town to the slums just to accommodate their little "bundle of joy".

    Page 7-8

It seemed like all he ever did was eat and eat...

    Page 9-10

Mommy and Daddy were so poor that they couldn't even send Little Timmy to school!

    Page 11-12

Mommy and Daddy had to borrow money from everyone. Mommy and Daddy had nothing.

    Page 13-14

What they wouldn't give to have the old times back... If only they could go back...

    Page 15-16

Then they would be truly happy again.

    Page 17-18

A light bulb clicked on in Mommy and Daddy's head.

    Page 19-20

One day, Mommy and Daddy took Little Timmy for a nature hike through the woods.

    Page 21-22

Oops! Mommy and Daddy "accidentally" left "something" behind.

    Page 23-24

Mommy and Daddy called this "Hansel and Gretel" style. They were happy again for a few days...

    Page 25-26

But like the bane of their existence that he was, Little Timmy found his way home.

    Page 27-28

What to do, what to do? Ah-ha! Another light clicked on in Mommy and Daddy's head. It was time for Halloween...

    Page 29-30

They dressed Little Timmy up... And sent him out after dark.

    Page 31-32

He felt like such a big boy!

    Page 33-34

And when Little Timmy never came back...

    Page 35

Mommy and Daddy lived happily ever after, forever and ever until the end of their days.

    The End.

Not as good as "Star Student", because this one relies on visuals a lot. But, it is still an interesting read, I think.

"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."

"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor
